companies blamed ai for 55,000 layoffs in 2025. yale budget lab looked at the actual data and found zero correlation between ai exposure and job losses. turns out firms are ai-washing their layoffs to make cost cuts sound like innovation. firing people is bad news. firing people because of ai is a strategy

@perrymetzger @BachmannRudi As a non-coder I finally started making programs just for myself without looking for similar programs online. But I don't use them just for code. 15$ Claude discovered something about my health that 20$ GPT couldn't, given the same documentation. The way they write differs, too.

I really don’t get this! Guy is saying openly that he is building something super risky for society and he expects more public awareness of it? The sensible public reaction would have been to outlaw or at least regulate what he is doing. We are no longer a functioning society.
Chief Nerd@TheChiefNerd

🚨 Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei: “We are so close to these models reaching the level of human intelligence, and yet there doesn't seem to be a wider recognition in society of what's about to happen … There hasn't been a public awareness of the risks.”

@heyshrutimishra @Grok, for a non-coder using Claude code, cursor, and push pushing to GitHub, how is this leak useful to me? What could I potentially do with it?

Anthropic leaked 512,000 lines of Claude Code source code yesterday. What happened in the next 12 hours is absolutely wild. 4 AM. Anthropic pushes an update to npm. Inside the package: their entire codebase. A 60 MB debugging file accidentally bundled in. 23 minutes later, researcher Chaofan Shou spots it. Downloads the zip. Posts it on X. Within 6 hours: 3 million views. By the time Anthropic’s team woke up, the code was forked 41,000+ times across GitHub. Anthropic started firing DMCA takedowns. Too late. A Korean developer named Sigrid Jin woke up to his phone exploding. He’s Claude Code’s biggest power user. WSJ reported he burned through 25 billion tokens last year. He read the leaked code. Rewrote the entire thing in Python in 8 hours. His repo hit 30,000 stars faster than any GitHub project in history. Then he rewrote it again in Rust. That version now has 49,000 stars. Someone mirrored it to a decentralized platform with one message: “will never be taken down.” The code is permanent. Anthropic cannot get it back. Here’s the part I can’t stop thinking about: Anthropic built something called “Undercover Mode.” Its only job: prevent Claude from accidentally leaking internal secrets. They shipped an entire anti-leak system in their own product. Then leaked their own source code in a .map file. Irony is beautiful

Claude code source code has been leaked via a map file in their npm registry! Code: …a8527898604c1bbb12468b1581d95e.r2.dev/src.zip

😂😂 This video truly reflects my life with Claude Code! I'm a solo founder, a non-coder from Vietnam, building okiela.io entirely based on Claude Code, and after completing 3-4 prompts, my quota is gone in a flash. I'm stuck waiting for a reset, just like a parkour failure that keeps happening. Any non-coders experiencing the same thing, please like this video so I know, because I'm about to cry 😭

@mwfowlie Maybe because you are an engineer. Because as a non coder if I ask Claude something it will understand my demande 99% of the time and do exactly what I need. Codex will break everything 90% of the time.

If you're using my Filters or FilterBlade I need to hear your input. Lets talk about AI boundaries. So far I have avoided AI-usage in the project. I have a lot of PoE-specific-knowledge, programming and computer-linguistics skills and replacing them with AI is: - Major downgrade. - Breaking the trust of the community - No fun, I like filter-tinkering. Further: I do NOT intend to work on the actual filter and algorithmic core of my Filter project with AI. However, I would like to get to hear the community input on using AI in a LIMITED scope in order to: - Fix performance issues/vulnerabilities - Writing 'technical' code like Unit Tests (only used to increase the quality) - Reviewing existing code to look for quality improvements I've been using AI in my fulltime job and other projects and I think it would provide a benefit. I'd like to hear the community input. Do you actually care? Would you be OK with the plan above?

@wallstsavage80 @claudeai I’ve started using claude for other things including helping build an app and it’s amazing. Will definitely look how to incorporate it into trading. Do you have to upload the data to it or it logs into your systems to view all the data?

it's crazy how fast AI has developed. you can now go from no experience in coding to developing your first app without needing to go to univeristy and sit through boring lectures off some geek. just sit in your room, watch a few claude code videos and actually build something real. what a crazy time we live in.

Today I purchased a high-value "Vibe Coding" hands-on course that can take a complete beginner from zero to entry-level. I'm planning to start building my own AI mini-tools, and I'll share my progress at every stage. My plan is: first, get familiar with the basic workflow, then use AI to analyze data and build an AI tool standalone website, and later create a niche site for men's health supplements or pet products. If anyone wants to start a business together, feel free to add me as a friend—let's help each other out!

I have ZERO coding experience… and I built multiple apps thanks to Whacka! The FUTURE of vibe-coding is here… wow 🤯 Check out Whacka.app’s site!! Highkey I feel so powerful building apps with NO coding skills at all 🤩👾 I’ve had so much fun creating fun and simple ones that I’m legit going to be using— especially my language learning game app ✌️ #Whackaapp #Vibecoding #ugccreator #maleugccreator #ugccommunity #ugcexample #ugcmen #ugcmale #vibecoding

@claude_code I am new to vibe coding as well and do not have the engineering or coding background. I can create an application and get it to 95% complete but it still is at times unstable and still has errors that pop-up. Are there principles or tools to help me get it complete? Thanks.

I've tried Claude Code and Codex. The upgrade was nowhere near worth the time needed to adapt. I ignore new tools that take more than 1 minute to set up and use. You can build a startup with GPT-3.
Adithya@curiousadithya

@marclou marc i don't understand why you are still using cursor. i a confused, am i missing something. Or is it your personal choice to code inside cursor. can you tell me what made you stick to cursor instead of using claude code or codex directly ??
