OpenAI image gen seems to love blue eyes. I asked it to restore an old photo of an indian man taken in 1868 (told explicitly) and it colored the eyes blue. Tried it three times, blue eyes every time.

@milichab @leerob I suppose this is more of a UI/UX bug in that case. When I turned on Kimi K2, I was never prompted to enter an API key. Now that I'm looking closely at the "API Keys" settings, it's not abvious which of the sections is the right one for Kimi K2. Also, consider better error msgs.

@RaeesBhatti @leerob This is an issue with your API key: We got an error when trying it "Model not found, inaccessible, and/or not deployed" - not an issue with Cursor

My longest Cursor agent ran for over 3 hours here. Next year, this will become days. Time isn't a perfect measurement for quality but it roughly equates to the amount of work coding agents can do. x.com/leerob/status/…
Lee Robinson@leerob

I built a Rust-based image compressor, WASM binary, and SvelteKit app! I wanted to see how far I could go using only coding agents. I did not write any code by hand. After 520 agents, 350M tokens, and $287 I can now say… extremely far. leerob.com/pixo

@milichab @leerob I just tried to use Kimi K2 to edit some documentation (because it's supposed to be better at copy writing) and it failed.

@RaeesBhatti @leerob Working on all of these! Send over your bugs - worktrees/plan should be very reliable on 2.3 - when do you see models not available?

@janetacarr I feel like every other post I see nowadays is a ragebait. Are all the likes and comments really worth the human micro-anguish we're causing and the distrust we're creating?

if LLMs will make software engineering obsolete, why don't they just generate binaries instead? not code & compile under the hood. Object code is data too. why do LLMs have to generate things that humans create?

@BassemDy I explored an idea very similar to this last year: use the Apple keyboard components but put them in a mechanical keyboard with a built-in USB hub. You get touch ID + mechanical keyboard in one.

What you are actually doing here is to bribe nokia to put these jobs into Canada by paying hundreds of thousands of dollars per job from taxpayer money. What this does is to lower the cost basis of nokia per employee. This has been going on for decades, called FDI which all civil servants think is a good thing. I spent a lot of time explaining to civil servants in ottawa that its not good for our economy that American and Oversees branch offices can employ Canadians at half the cost to all the canadian companies around them due to these subsidies. We should not do them at all, they are toxic, at least in the tech sector. It's never meat to be this way, but the situation that very often arises is: It's strictly worse inside of Canada to be a Canadian company compared to a company headquartered everywhere else. This is a bad situation, because the fruits of the subsidized labor will accrue to the wealth of other countries and not Canada. It's tax payer money invested into locking up scarce high tech talent in jobs where they no longer contribute to the Canadian economy directly. Why

I haven't really used Facebook in about a decade. But even now, when I'm in a sudden bout of stress, my first instinct is to open a new browser tab and type "face". There seems to be a deep neurological conditioning that hasn't gone away. This needs to be studied.
