The year Kounde broke out, Kalulu was already a league winning defender with AC milan, I am not necessarily comparing them but Kalulu was a top prospect and I will continue to say he is the best value for money defender we signed since Barzagli

@jaraaxz @AverageChiesa This graph (for a guy who does lot of data) is misleading because this has metrics (especially duels and prog passes) that Locatelli will exactly top, and there can be another radar where Tonali will vice versa. But that said Jxz is right, Tonali 's profile is easy to find around

Personally for me though Llorente played one of the best games in an atletico shirt, his on ball actions (though he got that assist) might be few but his off ball defensive actions (marked on 2nd pitch) reflect important actions made in a game of fine margins shielding Zone 14.

The reasoning of Openda's deal can be a good debate, and being on bench for Belgium is rightfully for a established player like Lukaku so cant judge on that point. Characteristically Openda made sense as they saw him as someone that could be used to catch teams on break, but dynamics were different here.

Poor decision ultimately falls on DC even if he's "new" as hes already in office. Comolli's words are good, first time someone spoke with clarity and not like other directors that had filter in speaking their thoughts. However his moves like Openda or Mario which Tudor & now Spalletti arent interested will hang over his head unless he finds solutions for them

Jamie Leweling shines for Stuttgart again, plays largely on right this time but still makes the mark on the game. Solid dual wing option most clubs can look at with him at the right age

I wont say Jamie is underrated but he's the kind of options we should look for, International level players that are playing at a very good level and cover a lot of positions and generally not hyped up because he's already 25 but has his prime ahead of him and can be value for money

@thegutterpoet The openda deal he could have pulled out if it meant only upsetting some agent. Openda probably didnt get a fair run of games but psychologically after losing Kolo Muani, they just panicked and got Lois, and that meant Tudor and now Spalletti dont rate him.

@Rahulvn5 I don't think its fair to put last Summer's mecato al on him. Most moves likely already sounded out/ underway. He came into a ship already sailing, tried to pull the threads together and get through the Summer. it wasn't 'his club'. That has come late last year and beyond.

Allegri likes forwards attacking space, Leao is the kind of player that likes to carry the ball, actually he can attack the space well but he doesnt prefer to. In this case actually neither are wrong, just move on from each other.

Boga is a nice person, good player too, but right now his success is down to confidence Spalletti has imparted and he's thrived without the pressure of being the main man. I am the biggest proponent of comolli's methods & few of his signings but he has to take criticism & hope he builds this summer the right way

Even if you want to collect money on his deal with 50% sell on clause, it goes to drain if they include players plus some low fee which wont absolutely solve nothing for us (which is exactly what they marotta will do btw)
