@redacted4473 @Rothmus The map is not 100% accurate but an English interpretation
In Denmark fx
Gasoline = benzin
Benzene = benzen
English

@0000fool @hayasaka_aryan Depends on the country. Some nordic countries killed more men than women for witchcraft
English

@hayasaka_aryan Also something like 25% of “witches” that were killed were men.
English

@vapejuiceyummy @AdogOnSalvia @midaeros @Back2Foulke Definitions vary. Before learning English I only knew soda as soap powder.
English

@AdogOnSalvia @midaeros @Back2Foulke That is literally the definition of soda? Syrup mixed with carbonated water.
English

@midaeros Huge shock ordering lemonade on my first visit to London at 7. I hate anything carbonated and was horrified id essentially been served lemon soda
English

@MagicPuddingDi @midaeros Same in Germany. -schorle is with flat water, -limo is with sparkling water
English

@midaeros Because in English the suffix -ade means sparkling.
If it's not, we call it a cordial, or a squash.
So orangeade means sparkling, orange squash, orange cordial or orange drink are not.
English
@cuntstanza @midaeros My favorite is when they get pissed off because we call the game “soccer,” “Only you stupid Americans call it that,” and then people from a bunch of other countries chime in, “uh, actually we call it soccer too.”
English

@scorps_art @MarvinTBaumann only because it would be the 5th feta-variant next to the german, albanian, cypriot and italian ones.
English

@RainsCyb @MarvinTBaumann Taking this argument to its logical conclusion, all that would happen is that America would make feta the exact same, call it something else (let's say Betta) and then you would complain that it's not American, it's just feta, and call Americans stupid for calling it smth else
English

Americans are free to develop their own cheese culture over the next two thousand years and then start exporting it to Europe.
Pull yourself up by your bootstraps, yanky.
Will Solfiac@willsolfiac
There is no specific place named "Feta" in Europe.
English

YES I love my wife
YES I will be up at 3am to collab with her
giri 🍙@OnigiriEn_
The Oni and Midlevel Boss Overlords are here in the kitchen!! Cooking collab w/ @GeneralGEEGA ! 🔴Start time: 4pm JST (in 3hrs)
English

@MarvinTBaumann They tried, then they found out we Europeans also have rules on what counts as cheese and theirs did not qualify to be called cheese here
English

@scorps_art @MarvinTBaumann same to you. every country selling feta-like cheese in the eu just calls it something else. american sheep cheese would be an option
English

@AustiniusHumili @MarvinTBaumann we know of 3 american cheeses: string, kraft singles and easy cheese. are there more?
English

@MarvinTBaumann I mean you’re also welcome to get the fuck off our internet and platforms you smarmy loser.
You’re engaging in American culture right now by even being on our public forums.
As for cheese? If you cared enough beyond being a pretentious slob you’d know we have a robust cheese cu
English

@MSVLKnight @MarvinTBaumann CHEESE IS SUPPOSED TO BE GRATED AND MELTED ON THE TOP, OR BAKED INTO IT.

English

@tytus_augustus @chibidoki I had my suspicions but this confirms it.
English

@SnappyTurtle73 @ShannonMFHill Those are all just times the secret service investigated. It would be like calling Cathy Griffin's Trump beheading an assassination plot. The only one that involved anything in reality was a guy firing a gun in the direction of the White House when Obama wasn't there.
English

@RainsCyb @LeneFromNorway @MattisRedacted @DoppelgangBurr talkin minerals here and being a bit sarcastic of course
nitrogen doesn't appear to be the problem so I didn't indicate that
English
