The trust also runs the Amar Mahal Palace, museum and library. The basic purpose has been to showcase and highlight art, culture and paintings from Jammu and Kashmir... Jammu and Kashmir has a unique history. I have strongly supported the changes that were brought after 2019 and I continue to support them. These changes were much required, though they came late in Jammu and Kashmir. In the rest of India, states were reorganised between 1952 and 1954 and even later in some cases, but in Jammu and Kashmir there was a delay due to various reasons... As far as the restoration of statehood is concerned, the Prime Minister and the Home Ministry had clearly said that delimitation would be carried out when the time would come, and that has been done. They also stated that statehood for Jammu and Kashmir would be restored at an appropriate time. Looking at past commitments, I am hopeful that when the time is right, statehood will be restored. We need to show some patience. I fully support the restoration of statehood, and it should happen as soon as possible.”

Hey Ophthalmologist, why are you acting like a BLIND ? This is a PRIVATE MEDICAL COLLEGE . Despite qualifying NEET , there is another qualification needed to be fulfilled to get into this Medical College, that is to have ENOUGH MONEY to PAY FEE of THIS PRIVATE MEDICAL COLLEGE. Those who had enough MONEY were able to get admission. There were candidates who couldn't get admission DESPITE qualifying NEET because they didn't have ENOUGH money to pay in this Medical College because all seats were the PAYMENT SEATS. Now go and connect the dots instead of getting trapped into web of lies being spread by the likes of Omar Abdullah who is doing propaganda on this issue despite being a sitting Chief Minister!

𝗗𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮 𝗔𝗸𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗿: 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗶- 𝗔𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 -.Dear brothers and sisters of Jammu, My own confusion is now absolutely clear, and I request all of you to join me in this resolve Our mother tongue Dogri has its own proud script – Dogra Akkhar (नवे डोगरा अक्खर). What we in Jammu inherited, refined, and made official is distinctly called Dogra Akkhar, standardised and patronised by Maharaja Ranbir Singh in the 1860s–70s. Henceforth, we will proudly call our script DOGRA AKKHAR (नवे डोगरा अक्खर) – the refined, Jammu-specific script promoted and standardised by Maharaja Ranbir Singh – and not simply “Takri”. Yes, Dogra Akkhar is a distinguished variant of the larger Takri family, but just as Gurmukhi is never called “Landa”, our script must no longer be reduced to the generic hill-state name “Takri” that is more commonly associated today with Himachal Pradesh (Chamba, Kullu, Mandi, Sirmaur). What is written on my clinic board, what shines on the new signboards at Jammu Tawi Railway Station and Katra – that is pure Dogra Akkhar, the very script Maharaja Ranbir Singh made the official script of the Jammu & Kashmir State in the 1860s–70s. Under his patronage, Dogra Akkhar received proper vowel signs (मात्रा), a special letter for our unique Dogri “ṣa” sound (ष), beautiful headlines, and the dignity of royal seals, coins, stamps, banknotes and the first printed Dogri book (Lilavati, 1873). This refined version is called Nave Dogra Akkhar – Jammu’s own creation. When we keep saying “Dogri Takri” or “Jammu Takri”, we unknowingly erase Ranbir Singh’s legacy and hand over our heritage to another region. Therefore, I appeal to every Jammuite – doctors, teachers, journalists, students, shopkeepers, cultural groups and government offices: From today, write and speak only DOGRA AKKHAR or NAVE DOGRA AKKHAR. Never say “Takri” when you mean our script. Put it correctly on nameplates, banners, books, social media, and school blackboards: डोगरा अक्खर. Tell your children: “This is Dogra Akkhar – the script of Maharaja Ranbir Singh and our Duggar.” Our language fought decades to find its place. Now let our script reclaim its correct, proud name. जय डोगरा अक्खर! जय डोगरा . Kashmir Times is in the headlines…. Once upon a time, this was THE newspaper of Jammu. I still remember my childhood in the 80s and 90s – Kashmir Times used to sell more copies in Jammu than even Daily Excelsior. You’d see it everywhere: tea stalls, homes, government offices, bus stands. People waited for it every morning. Then, slowly and quietly, it vanished from Jammu. Completely disappeared from homes and newsstands. Why? Because under Ved Bhasin, it gradually turned into a platform that the people of Jammu felt consistently published anti-India, separatist-leaning, and anti-Jammu content. One-sided Kashmir-centric narrative, toeing the Pakistani line, portraying terrorists as “misguided youth” – everything was there. Jammu didn’t protest on the streets. Jammu simply boycotted it. Silently stopped buying, stopped reading. Today, when the SIA recovered weapons and live cartridges from their Jammu office, old wounds have opened up again. The newspaper that once belonged to Jammu is not read by anyone in Jammu anymore. And now it seems the law is asking the same question that Jammu has been asking for decades – Who were these people after all? Jammu gave its answer long ago by rejecting it completely.
