10 things most people miss at car delivery for New and Used Car: - Repainted panels / hidden scratches - Panel gaps & loose fittings - Underbody damage / missing parts - Old tyres (manufacturing date mismatch) - Battery health issues - Engine leaks or abnormal noise - Electrical glitches (AC, sensors, screen) - Odometer tampering / excess running - Rust / waterlogging signs - Missing tools, spare, duplicate key Most of this is not visible in a quick showroom check and once you take delivery, it becomes your responsibility. If you’re not able to do a proper PDI yourself, you can rely on our authorised partners across India. We already help 300+ customers every month avoid such surprises.

No car in the market is perfect but if REAL TIME SAFETY is a top priority, I will always trust cars from Skoda VW, cars like Harrier / 7XO and Tucson over anything else with 6 airbags and AEB preferred. My garage of 4 cars is self explanatory. Having said that, always try to drive safe, under 90 kmph on highways because that's the 90% real game.
MadhusudanSahuu@MadhusudanSahuu

One of my friend met with an accident last night. Three people were inside the car, and not a single person was injured. Everyone walked away safely. This is where safety features, structural integrity, and build quality truly matter. Airbags, crumple zones, stability control, and a strong passenger cell aren’t marketing terms—they save lives when it actually counts. Incidents like this reinforce the importance of German engineering and safety-first design, something that @volklub brother has always consistently highlighted. Speed, features, and mileage matter—but coming back home safe matters more.

@harshdeeprapal Can't really say it minimizes the risk. Someone entering the hotel might just also accidentally run into such parked cars.

I asked this question to someone high up the ranks at Ashoka, Delhi. Besides the aesthetic appeal - the key reason is that the valet parking guys might end up damaging the vehicle while navigating it down to the basement and out. Parking right at the entrance minimizes the risk.
Rattan Dhillon@ShivrattanDhil1

My doubts are clear now: if you drive an expensive car to a hotel, it stays at the entrance, but if it’s an ordinary one, it goes straight to the basement. Why this clear difference, especially at Hyatt Hotels? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Boundless by Vishal @safalniveshak. Though I am yet to read the book fully, what is clearly evident is that Vishal has poured everything he had to offer into this book! And this doesn’t seem like a book to be read once and kept aside. It is one of those books that you go back to every once in a while to recharge your emotional and inspiration(al) batteries.

Ditto Insurance
Ditto Insurance@joinditto·
An insurance claim totalling ₹20 LAKHS stuck in limbo!!!😥 Here’s how we helped a Ditto customer get the ₹20 LAKHS in full👇 Karan* purchased a term plan from one of the top life insurers in India via Ditto– opting for a Critical Illness rider too as advised. Now, a Critical Illness Rider gives you a lump sum if you’re diagnosed with certain illnesses. Soon, Karan was diagnosed with a blockage in his arteries & underwent a heart bypass surgery– making him eligible to claim the critical illness benefit. But when he filed his claim– The insurance company raised multiple queries, made him run in circles & put his claim on hold. Why? Well, they had two reasons: 👉 Karan hadn’t submitted test reports conducted before the bypass surgery 👉 He had been prescribed medication for BP and diabetes, which the insurer believed was a pre-existing condition not disclosed while buying the policy Karan tried responding himself. But he kept receiving automated responses. At which point he finally reached out to Ditto for our help. After a thorough investigation, our experts found out that: - The test results were missing since the surgery was conducted on an emergency basis - The use of diabetes and BP medication was merely precautionary (basis a doctor’s submission) After repeated phone calls and liaising with the insurer, the claim was paid out fully - 20 Lakhs. To make sure you always have someone fighting in your corner, head over to @joinditto - our advisors will be right by your side.

Using long-living cloud credentials is not a good approach. Most tools support using temporary credentials which are much better from a security prospective as they have a short period of validity. GitHub is one tool that supports using OpenID Connect (OIDC) when interacting with AWS. GitHub Actions assume a role in your AWS account and AWS verifies the request is coming from an expected source and then generates short lived credentials. This article from Jefferson Ferrari shows how to use OIDC with AWS and GitHub.

There needs to be a law passed to regulate transactional and promotional push notifications similar to SMS. Allowing notifications from airlines or rideshares- Expectation: get useful notifications about my booking Reality: 20 promo ad notifications per day 🙄

If we assume the point of investing is ultimately to improve your quality of life and the quality of life of those you most care about, investments that consistently add stress over long periods of time probably don’t make sense. Money is traded for things or experiences that catalyze certain feelings. If your investments are generating the opposite spectrum of feelings, it might be time to reassess. It’s easy to miss the forest for the trees. Money is a means, not an end. And in the end, most things matter very, very little. Do what helps you sleep at night and wake up with a low heart rate. To me, those are the hallmarks of a world-class investor who gets the big picture.
