@IndiaToday He’s 62, not 92. Be a man & fend for yourself. This is a lesson for all men, aging comes with its own problems. exercise, build muscle, find hobbies & make friends, create wealth when young - don’t be asset rich & cash poor. Even if family doesn’t help or exist, support yourself

Unpopular opinion about DINK choosing couples. I think wanting children is the most natural thing. Not wanting is a result of an unresolved childhood trauma or a heavy self (and ecosystem) doubt. These couples were deeply pained either at their parents' sacrifices or incompatibility or toxicity. At times it could be a messy combo of all. They don't want to bring a child into that mess that exists in their subconsciousness. Financial readiness is also a factor but we seem to be talking about affluent section today.

@Rajeive1 @harsh_vardhhan @Akshat_World It's not hack. Everyone who travel frequently knows this. Go to currency dealer OR bookmyforex and you can check for yourself how it make sense to get USD first.

How Akshat converts currency > buys THB at airport > INR → THB > loses 40% how everyone else converts > buys THB from currency dealer > INR → USD → THB > loses 2%

@Rajeive1 @harsh_vardhhan @Akshat_World Why would anyone convert directly from INR when its not a fully convertible currency, usd is the best option to get and then exchange in the destination country.

@Rajeive1 @vijaythirumalai Are you trying to say that people should have kids when the world has 0 problems? Just name calling and abusing wont make your argument correct.

DINK - quick Q, what do u do with all the time you have & all the money you make? Sure you can travel coz u don't have constraints wrt school etc but how else is ur life better compared to the friends in same position with kids Name one upgrade, I'll wait.
Vishal Bhargava@VishalBhargava5

A silent pandemic is underway in Indian cities. Far too many couples are opting to not have kids at all. It is the wrong decision. Most will regret it.

@Rajeive1 @vijaythirumalai 100 times more problems were faced by ppl who lived a 100 years ago. What is the point you are trying to make? People born in 1900 lived through 2 world wars and a depression. Antibiotics were discovered in 1928. A minor infection would often lead to death then. Stop complaining.

@harsh_vardhhan @Akshat_World Yes of course there are options, the point of the original post was the currency depreciation over time which is very true. How you can overcome that is up to the individual which was also what the post was about. Turning it into options for effective currency exchange was not

@Rajeive1 @Akshat_World Not a hack All major authorised forex dealers provide it at a good rate > Forex cards loaded with destination currency (THB) > USD currency notes both options will prevent any high loss on currency conversion

#WATCH | Bengaluru: Regarding the death of 7 people due to the collapse of a compound wall near Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara says, “… “The rain came suddenly... Normally, Bengaluru sees its first rains in late April or early May...The corporation normally prepares for weather changes, including dead branches, low-lying areas, and potential flooding. Extensive works are ongoing in Bengaluru…”

@sahana_srik @naveenmzs @BMTC_BENGALURU I remember in the 90s, this used to be done in the full rush trips for conductor to issue tickets before a TC entered & caught the offender as well give the conductor a bloody earful with a fine too

Guess where I am? Stalled somewhere after jayadeva bus stop. Why? The new @BMTC_BENGALURU ticketing method. The conductor has to generate individual QR codes for each passenger, but since ticketing is for stages, they have to issue all tickets before the bus passes that stage.

With this sudden massive downpour,IF Bluru was a Sponge City, there would be very little flooding& groundwater table would have come up significantly. All wells&borewells would have got full Even now it is not too late for Bluru --> SPONGE CITY

What would have been the scene inside Bengaluru's (proposed) Tunnel Road with the kind of sudden rain we saw today? And also, at the entry & exit ramps? Just asking particularly those who are proponents of TRP. Any guesses?

In my opinion, If you spend 1-2 lakh/month today in a metro city for a family of 4 including education and rent/ emi, You would need roughly 8-10 crore by age 60 as a retirement corpus to live comfortably. But Sandeep Jethwani of Dezerv tells me that inflation, lifestyle creep and unexpected health costs can inflate your retirement expenses much more than you think and 8-10cr is not enough. he says a family of 4 spending 1-2 lakhs per month today need a 40cr retirement corpus in 20 years to maintain a certain lifestyle. That got me thinking about how the numbers keep getting more and more unattainable and the frustration among the youth is palpable due to lack of jobs and opportunities to grow income. Whats the solution then ? reduce your expenses, cut lifestyle creep, stop comparison and decide what your definition of enough is. Thoughts ?
