I have spoken and written about my patriotism and love for my country before. Those marching in London today are not that Britain.

An estimated 50,000 attendees are taking part in Tommy Robinson's Unite The Kingdom protest, which will see swathes of people march from near the Strand to Parliament Square. Sky correspondent @Chesh reports from the scene trib.al/oFbThj6 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602

The Unite the Kingdom march organisers are spreading hatred and division. They do not reflect the Britain I’m proud of. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right and one I will always protect. But if protest turns violent, we will act swiftly, with extra court capacity in place.

Today the voices of division will be loud. They don't speak for the country I know, one that belongs to all of us. That's our Britain. A Britain worth fighting for. lbc.co.uk/article/keir-s…

Millions & millions of people in this country have had ENOUGH of the changes foisted upon them by idiotic, self-interested & detached politicians. You are changing communities beyond recognition. You are making British people (particularly women & girls) more unsafe in their own homes. You are out-bidding British people from homes, using their own tax contributions to do so, in order to place economic migrants next door to them instead. You are taking the tax contributions from struggling British workers & giving it to freeloading, dishonest economic migrants who entered this county ILLEGALLY & providing them with better lives than many said working Brits have. You are turning many parts of the U.K. into places which resemble some kind-of 3rd world ghetto. You are IGNORING the repeat polite & democratic requests of British people to STOP this. What are these Brits meant to do? Lots of them (of all colours, shapes, sizes & walks of life), good, decent people, intend to go to this event tomorrow, because they DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO!! The arrest rate for the past event was minimal, especially compared to others. But no, despite this, politicians continue to smear. Where attendees of other events/protests with higher arrest rates are met with dancing police & selfies - tomorrow’s attendees will be met with riot force & facial scanning. People are NOT becoming divided or intolerant because they are ‘racist’, nor ‘far-right’, nor bad people and nor because they have heard a speech. They are becoming this way because of what YOU politicians are doing to them. Oh and btw, you guys are more bothered about criticising @TRobinsonNewEra etc then you are about resolving the issues I mention above. It is pathetic. You’ve worked out that if you keep pointing & shouting RACIST or CRIMINAL at those people, you can escape true scrutiny. You hope by repeating these labels & clamping down, you will deter people en masse from following them. The irony is, these folk are a direct consequence of failed government policies. I don’t think your smears work any more. Viewers of my show will know that I felt a little sorry for Starmer amidst all the backstabbing. Those feelings are gone. The sooner this man & his ilk are democratically ousted from public office, the better. If you are attending the event tomorrow - Be PEACEFUL & LAW ABIDING. DO NOT BE PROVOKED (many will try). Do not give these politicians etc what they want - the ability to try and silence you, in order to deflect from their own disgraceful failings. If you give them an excuse to silence you - no change will come…. And change, is what we urgently need….
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

Streeting has resigned. In his departure letter to the prime minister, he warns of a “dangerous English nationalism”, slags off Reform, attacks Starmer’s “island of strangers” remarks and calls Brexit a “disaster”. That should bring the Red Wall flocking back.

Keir Starmer is so arrogant, so bad at politics, and so utterly despised by his own party, he's thrown away the chance of a dignified exit. He is now going to be humiliated and booted out in DISGRACE! Absolutely wonderful. I honestly couldn't be happier 🎉

Dear lord Imagined being this obsessed with someone you don’t know. He’s been gunning for me for days. Now he’s writing to the police because I cracked a joke about the amount of officers they are sending to police the non existent far right on Saturday. I hope he gets done for wasting police time. Imagine wanting to see a mother being imprisoned and taken away from their child because you have different political views. I can only assume he has one miserable life.

The great thing about Katie Hopkins’ tweet apologising to Zarah (that’s ZARAH) Sultana is that when she inevitably deletes it once the legally required 24-hour period has elapsed, thousands of us will just reshare the screenshot endlessly …

@AthelwulfG Where I stay the hospital have done away with patient transport so old and disabled people are not making their appointments. The immigrants in a local hotel haven’t been making their appointments either so they’ve been provided with Taxis! Absolutely disgusting.

I had a conversation with my girlfriend last night. She's an NHS nurse, working in the cancer department. She was looking over the file for an incoming patient and noticed an odd address. He was registered as living at a local hotel.... So she read further. The man has been in the country since LAST MONDAY. Reported bleeding out of his arsehole for around 2 weeks and has been pushed directly to the front of the queue for tests/treatment. You can break into our country illegally and less than a week later you have the red carpet rolled out for you, pushing actual British people further down the waiting list and putting their lives at risk. In what world is this ok and normal?

People are worried about current conflicts and looming global crises. They expect their government to lead the country through, as the PM is doing. More instability is not in Britain’s interest. Our full focus now must be on dealing with immediate economic & security challenges.

The Prime Minister has told Cabinet what the country is thinking- stop the destabilisation, the navel gazing and get on with the job. I am backing him because voters did not elect us to turn inward and obsess over ourselves they elected us to deliver change for working people.

People are crying out for change - not more Westminster chaos. The PM understands the scale of the challenge & the urgency to act. The worst thing Labour could do is imitate the disorder, dysfunction & chaos of the Conservatives. That would only strengthen Reform & Farage.
