Here’s my question on this play: We have all these rules for what constitutes a catch: Must make a football move, must survive the ground, must take a third step, etc. In this instance, if the Denver defender didn’t come up with the ball and it ended up the ground instead, it would have pretty clearly been ruled incomplete, not a fumble. Right?

I have never seen a contested catch like this ever be called anything but a catch. Even as a DB you know that if it’s even a Tie it will go to the WR. Can’t believe this decided the game.

On Stefon Diggs: His 4-year stretch with the #Bills will go down as the best stretch for any WR in franchise history. He elevated his game in Buffalo and, in the process, made everyone around him better. He was consistently elite, BUT... He was rarely good enough when the #Bills needed him most. In the playoffs, when the #Bills looked for someone not named Josh Allen to step up, the obvious candidate was Stefon Diggs, but time and time again, he underperformed. While other WR1s like Tyreek Hill, Ja'Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, and Amon-Ra St. Brown, among others, would continue to produce in the playoffs, Diggs far too often fell flat. 10 years from now, Diggs will be remembered in Buffalo for his dominant 4-year stretch, but the ugly truth of it all is he simply wasn't good enough to help the #Bills get over the hump.
