@UniqueImagesAus @ProfRayWills There should be an EV charger at every government building and they should be free, powered by coal and nuclear power generators. That would push EV uptake.
English

Successive governments doing f all for a decade to build out EV infrastructure.
And they announce more subsidies on top of subsidies in an oil crisis.
Nothing about EVs outside of the nsw premier calling EV owners eastern suburbs snobs.
The next few months of financial pain is self inflicted.
English

Federal & state govts now spending >$1billion a month subsidising fossil fuel - 26.3c excise holiday + state-level fuel concessions
Meanwhile the only systematic “relief” for non-drivers and EV owners – free or cheap public transport explicitly ruled out
Prof Ray Wills@ProfRayWills
Excise relief socialises cost nationally while privatising direct benefit to fuel users Public transport relief socialises both cost & service access for peeps who actually depend on collective transport Aus ~$850M/mnth fuel-tax relief omits non-drivers & EV owners from benefit
English

@ProfRayWills Not levying a tax is not the same as spending. Government has NO money of its own to spend. All the money the have is either borrowed or extorted from taxpayers.

@ProudSocialist IRGC personnel present on site make it a legal target.

Your kids are going to grow up in a world where China will be their model society in terms of technology, commerce, culture, and even governance.
They will idolize and idealize the place as a fantasy wonderland and society.
They will want to study there, visit there, and even move there(sadly for them, most aren't getting in.)
You see how crazy the Japan simping is right now? 40 years past Japan's economic peak?
The China simping will be 10X that level by 2040.
Because China has won the end of history.

English

@cosmorxn @okaythenfuture Chinese movies are shit propaganda pieces.
English

@okaythenfuture I don’t buy this.
Japan has enormous soft cultural appeal.
Nobody watches Chinese movies or listens to Chinese music. Their style of governance results in a very peaceful and pleasant society, but nobody outside China is interested in what they’re doing artistically.
English

@okaythenfuture Japan delivers all that and more, but without the heavy hand of a dictatorship. I know which one I prefer.

@AshPolitik The ALP has long abandoned the workers. The workers have figured this out.

🇮🇷🔥 Abu Azrael, "The Angel of Death," has arrived in Tehran.
Real name Ayoub Falih Hassan al-Rubaie, born 1978 in Iraq. Former university lecturer, one-time Taekwondo champion, and father of five. He first took up arms with the Mahdi Army against US forces during the 2003 invasion, then became one of the most feared commanders against ISIS in Syria and Iraq as part of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
He's now in Tehran coordinating with the IRGC on plans for a potential US ground invasion. The man who fought the Americans in Iraq is back, and ready to do it again.
His catchphrase: "Illa tahin" — "Grind you to dust."

@AmeliaBee7 Clean energy such as nuclear and clean coal, would be good. We should have many new HELE coal power plants and loads of cheap electricity powering many more EVs in our cities and country. Govt can do its bit with charger roll outs on every government building.

@Ryandally08 This reaction to the Akrams is so hard to understand. They seem like reasonable Jihadists, just quietly doing their thing

#BREAKING Alleged Bondi terrorist Naveed Akram’s family claim they are worried someone will burn down their western Sydney home and said their membership was revoked at Mounties in the wake of the attack.
Venera Akram, said she was concerned about vigilante attacks and the risk of someone burning down their home.
She said she read a comment “to the effect that someone should ‘torch’ our house” and noted 33 people had indicated their agreement.
She also said she received a text calling her a “Pakistani c***” and a phone call during which a person asked “Are you still alive?”
All hearsay, no evidence.
The Akram family are now trying to play the victim.

@ev_australia Teslas are nice if you like the Kmart quality and spartan interior. And they ALL look the same! I am very happy with my BMW EV, it’s a real car with comfy ride and proper controls. The few Tesla’s I’ve travelled in shake your fillings out.
English

@Craig_Foster Aus is in the shit from our own failures. Other nations are much better prepared and resilient. It’s our own doing.
English

@Sauronlordking We could all buy EVa and charge them from beautiful clean coal. No oil from mad Arabs or Persian s needed.
English

Not only has our governments made Australia weak, they squander vasts amounts of money that they don't have.
Stokdog@stokdog
Look how much coal Australia has ffs. We could power ourselves for hundreds of years. But no, the idiots are telling us its bad for the environment but its ok to sell it to China.

@UraneJohn The Ayatollahs will not spare Infidels like you when they bring in Sharia law and the Caliphate.

We have nothing but contempt for your support for murder of Iran's leader and 200 innocent school girls. You are owned by zionists and you sing from their songbook.
Shame you disgusting pathetic little man who ceded our sovereignty to the USA and the Jewish lobby.
Furkan Gözükara@FurkanGozukara
Massive revelation. The Australian Prime Minister openly admits the third objective of the US led war on Iran was always regime change. He then confesses that imposing it from the outside is very difficult. The true imperialist agenda is fully exposed on live TV.
