Not showing or hearing the sirens in The Odyssey is a genius decision by Christopher Nolan. His direction and the music alone carry the scene. There was no need to show us more.

Can we talk about how deceptive the trailer was… 😂 When I saw the Laestrygonian giant in the trailer… I genuinely thought we were about to get one of the longest, most terrifying sequences in the entire movie. Instead… The trailer made it feel like a major set piece, while the actual scene came and went much faster than I expected. I’m not saying it was bad… I’m saying the trailer sold me a completely different expectation. 😭 So here’s my question… Did the trailer oversell the Laestrygonian sequence… Or did I just expect too much after seeing that incredible footage? Be honest, did anyone else think that scene was going to be much bigger

Rotten Tomatoes wants you to believe that The Odyssey is better than the first Lord of the Rings. You’re being played like a fiddle. Christopher Nolan has pissed off the entire country of Greece and first bother to use historical armor designs. Nolan’s legacy is stained.

@Matthew99784555 I think Odyssey suffers as a rewatch. So boring u til last 20 mins. His Batman series more rewatchable. Of course, his best work is The Prestige. Definitely best 1st time I watched it for obvious reasons

Im surprised more people aren’t talking about just how atrocious this scene is in the Odyssey. Nolan took a part of the story about savage giants who throw boulders at and eat Odysseus’s crew and changed them to be weird 12ft tall medieval knights or something.

I’m hearing conflicting things about The Odyssey. I don’t have the attention span for woke trash. But is it actually woke trash? Or is it worth seeing? Feedback preferably from those who’ve actually seen it, please!
