@yatharthmaan The fun part is going to be when Elon merges all of his companies into SpaceX. At that point he can single handily funnel his assets to fund the entire shabang himself. Mars colonies , AI satellites and Moon+Mars manufacturing, Tourism, and so much more.

SpaceX changed the world just by raising $10B, now imagine what will they do with $75B! Hint: Mass drivers on the Moon and Colonies on Mars.

i genuinely don't understand how anyone hates Elon the night before flight 4, he was vomiting with stomach ulcers from the stress of crashes, with both SpaceX and Tesla on the brink of bankruptcy he launched it anyway, when 99.9999% of people would've quit. that's bravery. and it reached orbit. now, that same company will have the largest IPO in history. absolutely one of the most inspiring stories

Hard to fathom how impoverished a person must be in mind and spirit to not see the value in space exploration. I think this is awesome. I'd much rather spend billions on rocket ships and lunar bases than buying junk food for fat people, or any of the countless other wasteful expenditures. Western civilization has always been marked by its curiosity about the universe and desire to expand, explore, and grow. We've lost that spirit in recent years. It's time to reclaim it.
