Did you know that Jesus actually rebuked people for NOT knowing prophecy? Not only is fulfilled prophecy one of the greatest proofs of God's hand on human history, but we are expected to know the signs of our times and glean hope from it. Don't lose your rewards my friends!

@ProvisionistP Asking for a friend: can you clarify the difference between "open-ended" and "wholly settled"? God has foreknowledge, so He knows exactly what's going to happen- but I don't think that is what you're asking...

I've been suspecting this very thing for a few years now. "Narrow is the path", right? It is much easier to figure out you're on the wrong path if your compass is off by 180*. It becomes obvious fairly quickly to own who is paying attention to the signs around them. But if you're compass is off only a few degrees it is really, REALLY, difficult to figure out you're still heading in the wrong direction, even after many miles of keeping your course. The 180* path is indicative of pagan worldly views; child sacrifice, pornography, corruption, etc - the things that are so very clearly wrong. The path that's off by only a few degrees is something that's going to "look alive, but it's actually dead".

Is Supersessionism the Apostasy of the Last Days? Paul warned: “That day will not come, unless the rebellion [apostasia] comes first” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Apostasia (Greek: ἀποστασία) means a deliberate revolt, defection, departure. Not ignorance. Not atheism. But abandoning truth once revealed. Could the church’s rejection of Israel be the very apostasy Paul foresaw? ⸻ ▶️ 1. Scripture Leaves No Wiggle Room God swore His covenant with Israel on the permanence of creation: •“If these ordinances depart… then shall the offspring of Israel cease” (Jeremiah 31:35–36). •“The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29). •“He who touches you touches the apple of My eye” (Zechariah 2:8). •“I will plant them in their land, never again to be uprooted” (Amos 9:15). To declare the church has replaced Israel is to contradict God’s oath. That is apostasy. ⸻ ▶️ 2. Satan’s Strategy Exposed From Eden, Satan’s tactic has been: “Has God really said?” (Genesis 3:1). •If Israel can be erased, God is made a liar. •If Israel has no future, Jesus cannot return to the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:4). •Supersessionism therefore acts as theological cover for Satan’s end-times war against God’s people and plan. It fuels: ✅ Antisemitism – cloaked as theology. ✅ Arrogance – Gentiles boasting against Israel (Romans 11:18–21). ✅ Deception – aligning the church with the nations against Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:3). ⸻ ▶️ 3. History Bears Witness Supersessionism’s dark fruit is undeniable: •Justin Martyr (2nd c.) claimed “the true Israel is we who believe in Christ.” •Origen (3rd c.) allegorized prophecy, erasing Israel’s literal hope. •Augustine (5th c.) cemented the “church as new Jerusalem” in City of God. •Luther (16th c.) began hopeful but ended with violent antisemitic rhetoric. •Christendom for centuries baptized the lie, leading to ghettos, pogroms, expulsions—and laying groundwork for modern antisemitism. History proves Supersessionism is no “neutral theology.” It is the false vine that bore centuries of bitter fruit. ⸻ ▶️ 4. Modern Apostasy Rising Today the same spirit resurfaces: •Denominations embracing Palestinian liberation theology and BDS. •“Progressive” leaders unhitching from the Old Testament @AndyStanley. •Public figures like @CandaceOwens and @TuckerCarlson dismissing Israel’s legitimacy. This is the apostasia Paul foresaw: “They will not endure sound teaching… they will turn aside to myths” (2 Timothy 4:3–4). And yet — at the very moment Replacement Theology spreads, God is visibly restoring Israel (Ezekiel 36–37; Isaiah 66:8). Prophecy itself refutes the lie. ⸻ ▶️ 5. Linguistic Layer •Latin supersedere = “to sit above, to replace, to disregard.” Exactly the spirit Paul condemns: “Do not be arrogant toward the branches” (Romans 11:18). •Greek apostasia = rebellion against rightful authority. Supersessionism is precisely that: rebellion against God’s covenant authority over Israel. •Hebrew berit olam = “everlasting covenant” (Genesis 17:7). God swore by His name that it would never be revoked (Ezekiel 36:22). Language itself testifies: Supersessionism is arrogance wrapped in rebellion. ⸻ ⚔️ Replacement Theology is not a harmless theological option. It is the end-times apostasy, Satan’s attempt to rob God of His glory and silence His covenant oath to Israel. When Christ returns, He will not set His throne in Rome, Geneva, or Canterbury. 📍 His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:4). Will you stand with God’s Word and covenant people— or with the apostasy that denies them? ⸻

On our way to Nashville. Sorry for the lack of updates today, but one of us got a fever. We didn’t drive very far and decided to spend the day at the hotel. We just walked over to Publix to try the sandwiches everyone kept recommending. We weren’t sure which sub it was. At first we got the Publix Sub because we thought that had to be it since it’s named after the store. Then we noticed the Chicken Tenders Sub had a “Customer Favorite” sign above it, so we got that one too.

A Knesset vote on officially recognizing the Ottoman Turkish Empire’s genocide against Armenians during World War I has been postponed. Israel’s Cabinet unanimously approved the motion, but the Knesset now won’t get a chance to vote on it before Israel’s upcoming national election in October. There is widespread belief that the postponement came as a result of American pressure not to upset Turkey amid delicate efforts to realign the Middle East balance of power. (Israel Today)

@ArkEncounter @noahsarkscans is making efforts to find out! It's certainly a curious enough formation to warrant further study. No Christians faith should be shaken by the findings though; regardless of where the evidence lands.

It's DEI/communist propaganda. She presents an Osage Native American family: "I really wanted to find a way to bring a family into it that could kind of parallel the Ingalls, so I worked with Robert [Warrior, Osage scholar] on coming up with this idea of a mixed family who was farming… We wanted to portray the Mitchell family as fully realized characters that the audience would know and love. We wanted to portray this relationship between Laura and Good Eagle, which really opens her mind and her perspectives, and we wanted it to be authentic." Elsewhere: "We did not go by the book or by the fictional accounts." That is what communists do. Re-writing the stories of their enemies is one of their favorite weapons. In this case, she simply replaced them.

Little House on the Prairie showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine on why she rebuilt the frontier classic around a new lens: "I think a lot of our pop culture portrays the West as men riding around with guns and solving problems with violence and posturing, but that is just not how it was settled... We really are trying to do a show that does not fall back on tropes of sort of masculinity." Is a story about settling the American frontier supposed to avoid masculinity?

Israel reportedly recruited Ahmadinejad in secret plan to topple Iran's regime The New York Times reports that the former Iranian president is being held by the Revolutionary Guards after authorities in Tehran uncovered his secret contacts with Israel. According to the investigation, Israel planned to install him as Iran's leader following the regime's overthrow, with then-Mossad Director David Barnea meeting him personally. (Israel Hayom)

After twenty-five years of teaching, the thing I hear most about Revelation is: "I don't have a clue what it means." People read it, study it, work through commentaries — and come away lost. Here's what I want you to remember: Revelation was intended to be understood by its original audience. They didn't have to wait two thousand years for theologians to sort it out. Go in expecting that you can understand it. But there are prerequisites. If this were a seminary course, you'd need Daniel and Zechariah first. Read Daniel 2, 7, and 9–12 over and over as you go. The imagery of Revelation is drawn from the prophets, and the more familiar it becomes, the faster the connections appear. Then there's the dating question — it drives interpretation more than almost anything else. Was Revelation written before or after 70 AD, when Jerusalem was destroyed? One piece of external evidence, a quote from an early church father, puts it after. I find it unpersuasive. The internal evidence — what the text itself says — convinces me it was written before 70 AD, and that a significant portion of what John describes is God's coming wrath on Israel in the destruction of Jerusalem. Let me be honest on the front end: if I'm wrong about the dating, my interpretation of the entire book is wrong, and you should disregard it. I'm not hiding that assumption. It shapes everything. Now start with Revelation 1:1: "A revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave to him to show to his servants what things must quickly come to pass." Must quickly come to pass. That's plain Greek and plain English. There is no honest way to make "quickly" mean thousands of years in the future. These things were going to happen in the lifetime of the original recipients. And that phrase is a deliberate verbal link back to Daniel. In Daniel 2, Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar that God has disclosed "what must happen at the end of days" — the identical Greek phrase. Jesus is revealing to John that the things Daniel pointed to — the events of the last days — are now quickly at hand. What Daniel spoke of as future is what John is told is imminent. "Blessed is he who is reading... for the time is near." Near to them, not to us. John isn't writing a letter for people two thousand years later to decode. He's writing to churches who need it now, because what it describes is about to happen. (From my Revelation series.)

@creationnews Seed > tree > seed fruits for many years > tree dies > becomes soil for more seeds = a completely functional system. God is the only being that has been able to create a functional system that is completely in motion at the time is it's creation.
