A question to start your week: If you could re opened any line that was closed years ago what would you re open? This could be something that was shut down permanently A route that was cut back to its current destination Or a route that was planned but was never built

Weekend trains getting busier is a win for rail, but the experience is being ruined by a total lack of decorum. From loud music to food/drink strewn on floors & seats, it feels like the Wild West. Is there a plan to tackle this antisocial behaviour @SW_Help?

@Iromg Owned by a company from the other side of the world (out of touch) and previously owned by private equity (ie they bought a hollowed out shell of a company). Maybe that's why.

@hwallop @transportgovuk Or maybe it's because motorists are sick of being ripped off. This is the pricing for Edinburgh Castle Terrace car park.

Fascinating. NCP carparks has gone into administration. And one of the reasons is WFH and people just aren't driving as much. According to @transportgovuk we're still only at 92% - 95% of pre-Covid car driving levels.
Gareth Corfield@GazTheJourno

@AndyRoden1 PWC says NCP locked itself into lots of "long-term, inflexible leases", and people aren't driving as much post-COVID. Guess that's a natural consequence of the public transport modal shift...

@DanielJHannan Did they actually claim the islands or were they simply offered to Mauritius unprompted by Hermer and his fellow lawyers?

Obviously we should not cede the Chagos Islands. At the same time, we should sue Mauritius for the return of the sum - around £100 million at today's prices - that it pocketed in 1965 in return for promising to drop all claims to the archipelago in perpetuity.
