@MLarkinHockey You’re not factoring in Pietrangelo’s LTIR and there definitely trading one of Hill or Hertl
English

@mzvgk @MLarkinHockey And I wouldn’t count out moving Hertl’s $6Mil either.
English

@MLarkinHockey Pietrangelo’s contract will be on SELTIR. They have a lot more cap space than that. There’s also a reasonable assumption that Hill’s $5mil will be gone
English

@PierreVLeBrun Using the contact guidelines that they wrote as a justification for their unprecedented behavior is another level of pathetic. If Vegas wanted to solidify themselves as villains, they've done a wonderful job. This will undoubtedly have ripple effects years to come.
English

From NHL perspective, the league feels the Vegas response to date is consistent with the team’s existing contractual rights, as well as with established league policy. So, it remains very much up to the VGK if and when teams can talk to Cassidy while he's under contract.
Mark Lazerus@MarkLazerus
There are teams that want to talk to fired Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy. They're gonna have to wait. "Our focus is currently on the Stanley Cup playoffs." Story: nytimes.com/athletic/72930…
English

@PierreVLeBrun This is smart by Vegas in the sense that a team could be willing to give up draft compensation in order to hire Cassidy, seeing as the knights are now short another draft pick
English

@FtWBravo3 @PierreVLeBrun That’s not for another year. He’ll have plenty of time for that. Edmonton isn’t in the playoffs. They will probably let any team except for the pacific division teams interview him.
English

@PierreVLeBrun I get he’s under contract, but they fired him before the end of the reg season… why can’t he plan for the next part of his career for when the contract expires? Not like he’s getting interviewed by teams in the playoffs right now.
English

@PierreVLeBrun @VCanucksNews Vegas has become so entitled. Why do players want to play for this organization?
English

@ForsbergsHat @PierreVLeBrun And they will. Edmonton needs to move on
English

@PierreVLeBrun So Vegas is just gonna stall and try to out wait the Oilers. Fucking dirty ass franchise.
English

@davidgmac9 @PierreVLeBrun Nope. Vegas is all about winning. Coaches and players want to win.
English

@PierreVLeBrun Pierre, do you think this will negatively impact how coaches, managers and players will view Vegas? Could that influence someone not to sign with the team?
English

@MyManDanDeLion @PierreVLeBrun That will never be allowed. Coaches will not want to not have fully guaranteed contracts
English

@PierreVLeBrun There should probably be some league rule stating that any coach is free to seek employment after being fired by there former team but in that same coin as soon as they sign a contract with a new club the old club should be completely off the hook for paying out the contract
English

@oiler @PierreVLeBrun Torts sat out a calendar year. And Vegas doesn’t play in the eastern conference or the metro division
English

@PierreVLeBrun How did VGK previously hire their coaches? Torts had one year remaining on his contract with PHI when he was fired. Was he under contract when the Knights were talking to him to replace Cassidy? It's seems obvious that both DeBoer and BC were under contract when they were hired.
English

@PierreVLeBrun What about in a week when they are knocked out of the playoffs? Their bullshit excuse of focusing on playoffs will be gone, will they have to let teams talk to him then?
English

@ccNYEx @PierreVLeBrun He’s being paid. He’s not being held hostage.
English

@PierreVLeBrun So a fired coach is held hostage by his former employer? Interesting and very ethical. Vegas are the kings of ethics
English

@CommonSensRev They’ll move Hill at $6M, Hertl most likely at $6.75M. They’ll free up lots of space. Never bet against McCrimmon
English

The Vegas Golden Knights have ~$99M committed next season on a $104M cap, would you risk losing your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to try to offer sheet Dorofeyev to a 6x$9.5M contract? Cuz I would. #GoSensGo
English

@Magnum702 Technically Marner wasn’t a FA he was a trade so they could get the extra year.
