Why does DEI scare maga so much? It helps us all, including the uneducated maga. I dont get why grown men are this scared of diversity. It tells me how embarrassing maga men are to the country and the world, and elon is trying to scare them into hating people. Elon is a South African immigrant, and stupid maga eats this up like the idiots they are. Elon knows how easy it is to indoctrinate and instill fear into the dumb. Maga is so embarrassing!

David Rubin served as President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from 2019 to 2022.
In 2020, under his leadership, the Academy launched the “Representation and Inclusion Standards” for Best Picture eligibility. These rules, still in effect, require films to meet at least 2 of 4 diversity criteria involving race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability in on-screen roles, creative leadership, or crew.
Rubin publicly backed the changes and helped appoint the task force co-led by producer DeVon Franklin.
He shifted the Oscars from “best movie wins” to race/gender engineering. A film can now be ineligible for the top prize purely for failing demographic quotas, regardless of quality or audience impact.
Instead of focusing purely on talent and storytelling, the Academy under Rubin institutionalized identity preferences.
Oscars prestige and viewership have tanked. Many see it as performative politics over art. Classics with non-diverse casts would be disqualified.
He helped install the DEI machinery that turned awards into checkboxes and accelerated Hollywood’s quality decline.

@RayKTweets @politicalmath I still rate it in my head as one of the best institutions for learning in the country. That’s probably because I spent a decade or so there while wandering in life. lol, but true. I had really great professors for the most part and met tons of good, interesting people/students.

I loved Oaxaca. Went randomly backpacking around there Christmas 2010 I think. Slept on the beach sometimes where I met a cool homeless dude we sang Beatles songs under a coconut tree, hiked to a shot up cartel boat, made out with lots of chicks, mole, mezcal, scribbled poems in the courtyard of the old church.
Couple weeks unforgettable adventure. Even got a girlfriend out of it for a bit who showed me Mexico City and took me partying at the Spanish embassy. Should've stuck with her looking back. It wasn't a cliche then. There werent any white people yet, or an easy highway to get there, different vibe.

It’s late 2009. Local community college. San Fernando Valley. I was trying my hand at stand up in my mid-20’s and a couple philosophy professors asked me to host/MC an artsy talent show type event.
Now, you have to imagine this context: Packed room with about 100 humanities students and liberal arts professors. It’s the height of the Obamacare debate, the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street are saying the same things but nobody seems to notice…
I knew when I wrote it that the joke wasn’t gonna land in the room. But as a wannabe comedian I just had to go for it; for the future story more than anything else.
“You know, I’ve been missing Bill Clinton lately. Yeah, no, for real. I find myself longing for the days when instead of the whole country Democrats only f*cked their interns.”
One professor audibly gasped. Another clearly hated it. But to my surprise most of the students cracked up. And none of the professors ever really held it against me.
We all used to agree on free speech and understood a good joke when we heard one.
