Out of all the newly released files, this one is easily the wildest The object almost appears humanoid, with visible arms and legs. The real question is what speed is this thing flying at? Could this be the most convincing UFO or alien footage ever made public?

@nicksortor While I 100% agree with this sentencing, I'm also baffled by the number of Somalian citizens of Minnesota who either got a slap on wrist, were allowed to flee the country or in one high profile case where the judge overruled a jury conviction and let the thief go free.

🚨 BREAKING: The mastermind behind the Feeding Our Future fraud scam in Minnesota has just been sentenced to 41.5 YEARS in prison Holy CRAP! Aimee Bock orchestrated the $250 MILLION scam during COVID, billing taxpayers for fake meals for children. She deserves every single day of this sentence! MORE OF THIS! 🔥

@JohnChr07417950 @crypt0lake The root of it is our monetary policy. Debt keeps growing and so does spending. Thus needing more tax payers which requires immigrants. The only way forward is to cut spending reduce the debt then cut immigration. It’ll never happen in our life time.

@crypt0lake Yes but if you cut off immigration higher prices lead to higher wages. An economy contained within the borders.. not endless immigrants sending low wages out of tge country!! Immigrants are the reason for all the economic woe!

all of these US tech layoffs are a ruse btw, they are all aggressively hiring in EU and India with half the salary for the same roles, US talent just became too expensive

@cabrillo24 I forgot that clause. However, companies steal each other employers regardless of a non compete agreement, especially if thy been eying the candidate for a while

Noticed a lot of senior employees at Meta are resigning right before big corporate layoff waves lately 👀 Genuinely curious… what’s the strategy here? Because walking away days before layoffs usually means you’re giving up things like severance eligibility and unemployment benefits. So I’m trying to understand the logic:
• Do they have a secured new role lined up?
• A calculated exit strategy?
• Or just choosing pride over process? Either way, it says a lot about how people are navigating uncertainty in corporate spaces right now.

50% of juniors I have seen in my career probably should not be software developers. They were deeply incurious, no interest in tech nor to understand how things work. Software development makes you use and train your mind for your whole career. That's a brutal thing to do casually. Doing something like that without any real interest is bad for your own life.

We should federally tax Tokens at the Provider level. Not a lot. Less than 50c per million tokens. It will accomplish 4 things (at least ) 1. It will push the big AI players to optimize tokenization, caching , routing and localization Which will 2. Reduce energy usage. Saving them in energy costs more than what they paid in tax and reducing strain created by the growth in energy consumption Which will 3. Generate maybe 10 billion dollars a year to start, but over the next ten years could grow 30x to 100x Which will 4. Create a source of funding to pay down the federal debt or deploy, in response to the things AI brings that we don’t expect or don’t like At some point the models will pass it on to customers. Of course. That’s ok. Customers will have the ability to choose between providers. Or to do everything using open source models locally. Thoughts ?

I now understand why AI will eat the software industry. I used to have a web agency. With Claude over the last 3 days I have built and deployed a system that would have: - Taken 6 months - Cost £150-200k - Required 8 different skill sets I can't design. I can't code. I don't understand SQL, APIs, Cloud Storage - yet Claude has walked me through Github, Supabase, Vercel and it is deployed and working. A 100% custom software system - 3 days, 1 idiot. BLOWN AWAY!

I rarely eat out. Maybe once a month. Went yesterday to a restaurant (Italian, Mediterranean) in West Seattle for Mother’s Day last night. Total for 5 of us ( we don’t drink alcohol) with one salad, humus and 3 vegetarian pastas was $97 The check said 3.5% surcharge for credit card. Then 17% service fee, mandatory. Then tips were 20% 22% and 25% optional. I asked if I could pay in cash. No. They don’t take cash. Then how can I avoid the credit card fee I asked. You can’t. So I asked why the service charge. It pays for the employees they said. Then why the tip I asked. It pays for front office staff I don’t get it.

I'm so done with the series. Poor animation, poor fight scenes, lazy writing. They need to cut out the high paying voice actors, have the writers work with AI tools, use AI to generate the scenes and have humans do the final cut.
Kchorro777@Kbronproyectado

Lo más gracioso es que invencible presume ser animación occidental, pero en la temporada 3 se descubrió que sub contratan a chinos, que a su vez sub contratan a animadores de corea del sur y algunos de corea del norte 💀

@texasrunnerDFW Yes I did. But that’s not Dallas. There’s a very different experience outside of Dallas Proper for a host of reasons. Dallas proper tends to be less transient but th burbs have been struggling of late. Job losses. Demographic changes.

I am astounded by the number of millennial families who moved to Dallas, bought a home, then turned around and sold the home to move out of Dallas, in less than a 5 year time span Is Dallas just super transient or is this a post-pandemic phenomenon happening everywhere?
