They had some interesting villains that were opposite of GIJOE. Instead of Cobra it was the Red Shadows led by Baron Iron Blood. Made by Palitoy. They used recolored Hiss Tanks they bought the molds to from Hasbro, recolored action force wermacht soldiers and had a cool original vehicle called the Robo Skull which was essentially a TIE fighter with a skull shaped cockpit! You shouls look up the Analog Toys video about the line. Very interesting stuff. Also later on in the line Hasbro bought Action Force and integrated them into the GIJOE Canon. In the comics the Red Shadows work alongside Cobra.
