Might be a hot take, but I believe if you show your face as a Vtuber, you're just a person with a model, not a Vtuber. Yes, there is a difference. Vtubing originated in Idol-oriented Japan, with all the gravitas and 'keep it mysterious' that entails. Though many Vtubers these days don't even know about the early days.
