There's one thing you must ask before anything: Am I a trader or am I investing for the long term? I see @the_economystic encouraging everyone to stay away from most of the projects on #MultiversX that are working hard to build something, but on the other hand, pushing people to believe that the projects he invested in will have their run. I agree, if you are a trader, you might not want to buy into the parabolic moves, but this is not really the best rule; I can assure you that buying high, selling higher is a strategy that really works in a bull market. If you consider that a 3x is a parabolic move and you refuse to buy, but the token is doing a 10x, then tell me, who's actually missing an opportunity here? People have done that with $HTM, they did it with $ONE and they will most likely do it again with other tokens. I guess you missed the first move when $HTM reached $1 and you thought it's too late, only to miss another leg up to $3.5, right? Is it the same with $ONE? Missed the first move to $0.25, just to realize that you've missed another 2x from there? Good projects are getting rounds of hype which will last for a while, then will go into an accumulation phase, maybe losing their hype and also retracing a bit, there's nothing wrong with it. Then another phase will start when the project will continue to release new products; the trick here is to focus on those projects that have a good plan in place and are focused on the development of their products. On the other hand, there will be people investing in projects, people that are here for the long term, people that don't care about the price in the short term. They focus on the potential that the project might have, they will DCA regardless of the price of the token and will have a plan later on for selling. Mentioning that your guy is down 40% from the top? Yes, short term he might be down, but was his plan a quick trade or a long-term investment? I bet he knows what's going on and he is confident even with that. Instead of making your followers stay away from projects that are trying their best to deliver something in this ecosystem, maybe you should also try to understand everything that is being created and also explain the other side of things to your followers. I do agree the best scenario would be to buy into weakness and sell into strength, but it won't always be the case. Just assess the project, find your entries and go for the long term if you are a believer in the project. Then gradually take profits off the table if you don't feel okay with your stake in a project, there's nothing wrong with taking profits at a certain point. You should all remove the mental barrier of "I am too late", of course you might be, but maybe you are too late for this leg and you will place yourself accordingly for the next legs up. I personally bought into many tokens while they were 3-4x up and managed to pull another 3-4x, it's only a matter of time, you don't need to be a master at it. Just have a bit of conviction! Just to make it clear, I don't endorse anyone to buy any token now regardless of the price. What I want is to make people understand that time in the market is more important than timing the market, at least from my personal experience. I'm no trading guru, not a veteran in investments, I'm doing my thing but have learned a lot along the way. Times have changed, we are in a bull, markets are doing their own thing, don't be stuck with bear mentality, learn to adapt. Most importantly, learn to find good projects and have a personal plan, try to understand what is the market share they can take and set yourself exit points along the way. Being afraid to buy a token that went from 10m to 50m when you know that it can reach 100-200m in the next months is not the right mentality. Just my two cents in here!
