RDA UCMS & GTBH had a meeting with Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Health Minister of Delhi, to address key issues-GTB Hospital has had no regular Medical Director for months (only an additional charge), lack of a DMC registrar and the urgent need for stronger hospital security.

#WATCH | Delhi: Rape-murder of a PG trainee woman doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata | After meeting Secretary MoHFW, Apurva Chandra, FORDA General Secretary Dr Sarvesh Pandey, says "We met the Health Secretary. We released a press release yesterday mentioning our demands that the Principal of RG Kar Medical College should be removed immediately, CBI inquiry, fast-track court and that a committee of the Central Protection Act. We will continue our strike until we get a written assurance that our demands will be fulfilled. During the strike, elective surgeries will be hampered and only Emergency Services will function. Around 3 lakh doctors across the country have joined the protest..."

RDA UCMS & GTBH stands in solidarity with RGKAR Medical College in view of the recent tragic incident of brutal rape and murder of a resident doctor on duty. We join the nationwide strike from Monday, 12 August onwards.

RDA UCMS & GTBH has been elected for the year 2024-25.

Following demands were agreed upon. RDA is committed to ensure proper implementation of these demands with a follow up meeting to be conducted within 2 weeks.

The strike has been called off after successful meeting co chaired by Special Secretary of Health & Family welfare, Government of Delhi, DM Shahdara, ACP Shahdara, SDM Shahdara, MD GTBH and SHO Mansarovar Park.
