A 53-year-old Ipswich man has been charged with three counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence after allegedly posting online death threats against a federal parliamentarian (May 14-18). AFP were alerted on May 18, raided a North Ipswich property, and seized an electronic device. Man granted conditional bail - due in Ipswich Magistrates Court on June 1. Max penalty: 5 years jail. On COVID, we weren't putting Australians into categories to judge their worth or treating people differently. That's the Australia I believe in and fight for.
