I figured the easiest way to figure out proper distinctions (at least for Orthodox) is to read St. John of Damascus' Exposition, as he pretty much just lays it all out. As for Hill, that definition leads him to conclude Christ's humanity is different from ours because it was united directly to The Divine Essence, and ours is not. Christ's deification wasn't energetic (it was hypostatic), but that doesn't really answer the question, Christ's hypostasis is actually composite, and The Eucharist has nothing to do with the EED. These are all explicit claims, not entailments.

Augustine’s HORRENDOUS exegesis of this passage has just persuaded me to embrace semi Arianism. I’ll let you guys know how it goes.

I don’t get this criticism. Yes, I am an Orthodox Christian and I was saved by Christ Jesus. His Redemptive work on the Cross in penal substitutionary Atonement gives me eternal Salvation and forgiveness of sins.

St John: the Son’s Spirit not as from him, but as proceeding through him from the Father. For the Father alone is cause

Orthodox are unregenerates. There is simply no way they are born from above with the Spirit Fact is, they truly are children of their flesh. It is so plain as day they follow another Jesus.

His person/identity remained the Word of God; that didn't disappear; in that sense he was truly God. But he became a man just like us. A God-man is not "just like us", and cannot be our model.

Affirming Mary as the Theotokos or “Mother of God”, affirms the incarnation of the Word, the Logos, the Son of God who is one with the Father. Protestants think this is deifying Mary. It is to affirm the deity of Christ and lift HIM up. Everything points to Christ, including the saints.

Every act — suffering, healing — is done BY the Word, through whichever nature fits. Your “put aside his attributes” is kenoticism.

How do you get to heaven? By conforming yourself to the Church (The Theanthropic body of Christ) and obeying/trusting in Christ See how easy that is? Meanwhile you have certain ppl who will sit on speakers corner & not tell ppl what they need to hear they give generic answers
