Put all the State Tournaments in Sioux Falls- They can play in the Sanford Center, the Pentagon, and the Arena. It would be a basketball fans dream. Watch an A game in the afternoon, AA first game of the night session and go watch a B game to finish it off.

@ShenanigansSF Right. So if they don’t fill a 5k seat high school gym, they aren’t going to travel no matter where you put the tournament. It’s the South Dakota STATE tournament. Not the South Dakota East River tournament.

@ShenanigansSF Sioux Falls schools don’t even pack the Denny when the tournament is in Sioux Falls (anymore). The problem is not the location or the cost. Huron, Pierre, Mitchell all completely pack their student and adult sections in whatever city the tournament is in.

14 of the 20 AA teams' fans would need to take 3 days off work, 3 nights minimum hotel stay + meals and other entertainment due to location. Location and cost is main factor coupled in with streaming access allowing fans to watch and work...

This is insane. Landmand Golf Club in Homer, Nebraska put all their tee times for the year on sale today. Prepay required. They sold every single one almost instantly. Like battling for Taylor Swift tickets, people were queued and ready, but couldn’t even get a sniff. The Farmer took a giant risk when he built Landmand with King Collins. A remote destination and at the time a relatively untested architect team. To say it’s been a grand slam is an understatement. Absolutely one of the great success stories in the golf courses business. Amazing what passion can do.

@RealZachEdman I think they should do a lottery. Then people can book when their number is called. Or do it one month per day, so the demand hit is less at once.
