This guy is the biggest grifter bullshit artist on the entire internet. Veganism is not a "diet" it's a philosophy that opposes the rights violations of sentient animals. Where's the evidence that vegans "largely hate people"? Also, If you don't feel guilt or shame for the systematic UNJUSTIFIED torture and mass-murder of innocent animals, there's something wrong with you. A carnivore diet is largely practiced by people who have been hoodwinked by lying story tellers who rely on anecdotes over nutrition science. You must hate animals so much that you believe they deserve to be decapitated en masse so you can eat your shitty fad red meat diet that is unsupported by any reputable science. Keep grifting Shawn Faker.
Dr Shawn Baker 🥩@SBakerMD

A vegan diet is often practiced by people that largely hate other people and is driven by guilt and shame! A carnivore diet is practiced by people that love themselves and others and just want to get healthy!

@bohdyone I actually think you agree with the logic within this hypothetical - you just disagree with the premise. It would be more productive of you to start there. You disagree that sentience indicates worthiness of moral consideration. Discuss that first.

This whole rabbit hole is the most chilling of insane vegan ideologies. People like Nick would be executing genocides on a massive scale and destroying whole ecosystems "to end suffering". Then they would start rounding up non conforming people as well, of course.
Nick@upRootNutrition

"Separating prey from predator is a cool concept, but what about animals that need to kill other animals for well-being?" Just granting such animals exist, I'd say extinction or genetic modification is the move there. Such animals have no business being on our planet. 🤷‍♂️

@bohdyone Nothing about Nick's argument here necessitates destroying any ecosystems. That's a false extrapolation. I'd guess you got there by assuming herbivores would excessively proliferate without predation, but this type of hypothetical generally assumes birth control of wild animals.

@Schmopser @TheNutrivore I believe this position assumes a hypothetical world where wild populations are artificially regulated without killing (ex: birth control via neutering/spaying).

@TheNutrivore Arent predators supposed to regulate the amount of animals? Exemp: More greens --> more antilopes --> more lions --> less antilopes --> less lions and to be continued

@TheNutrivore @bohdyone A moral imperative means it's obligatory in order to be moral. Fulfilling a moral imperative is equivalent to "doing the right thing". For example: it is a moral imperative to be vegan.

@APM_2017_ @DrFarazHarsini Counterproductive to population health. The masses need MORE protein in their diet, not less, and animal protein is an excellent bioavailable source. If you value other things over human health I can see why you'd hold a different opinion.

1/17. 🔪Let’s slay some protein myths once and for all! I’ve spent 10 years studying cancer and protein structure & function. The US says I have “exceptional ability” in my field & I’ve been (am!) a protein and process development scientist in biotech firms & startups. A 🧵👇🏼

@bohdyone @DrFarazHarsini Dr. Harsini provided multiple research publications to cite the fact claim that lowered methionine reduces cancer growth. The onus is now on you to accept that or else debunk those multiple publications.

@DrFarazHarsini You made two inferences that I took issue with (I'm paraphrasing): 1. Methionine consumption is related to cancer and thus restriction will improve healthspan in humans. No solid data to support that. Animal protein is a highly available source, counterproductive to discourage

@StirlingWisdom 41-study analysis found soy has NO EFFECT on male reproductive hormones, sperm-count, or muscle gains. sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Phytoestrogens don't work like estrogen because you aren't a plant. "Soy boy" is a term because "alphas" feel threatened by rational, ethical people.

1. Soy They’re called “Soy boys” for a reason... Soy contains phytoestrogen. Consuming this is like injecting pure estrogen into your body. Soy is in things like: - Soy milk - Soy protein - Edamame beans Yes, men need estrogen, but too much will kill your T levels.

@hewhoiscringe @ShitpostRock Nah phytoestrogen actually can block mammalian estrogen. It ends up doing precisely nothing. Genetics or magic are better explanations lol.

@HeruOforiatta @levelsio Phytoestrogen can act as an oestrogen antagonist. Meaning it reduces your intake of estrogen. If you are worried about estrogen, stop eating meat and dairy from cows who were pregnant their whole lives and whose "products" are teeming with estrogen that you consume.

@levelsio Great post , except: 1. No one should be consuming soy, especially men. Soy is a phytoestrogen and therefore an endocrine disrupters. 2. The only salt that should be consumed is sea salt or Himalayan pink salt. Regular table salt is toxic.

@Naem618 Soybeans make you girly but drinking milk from cows who were pregnant their whole lives doesn't? And beer has more phytoestrogen than soybeans. fyi, phytoestrogens don't affect the body at all in the same way mammalian estrogen does. Cow's milk has estrogen in it. So does meat.

Statement & asking for privacy: As many of you may have noticed, I have been a bit absent on social media and streaming lately. When I have streamed it has been for far less time due to lack interest and outside factors, and have chosen to spend that time with those who I am close with. Today I have to make the very unfortunate post that Yasmin and I have decided to end our marriage. This was a difficult and painful decision that we chose to make together, and know the impact it will create throughout the community that we share. We have tried our best to work through our differences, but realized that we both have grown tremendously as individuals, are looking for separate things in life and love, and that this was the best decision for us both moving forward. During this challenging time we ask for your respect, compassion, and privacy - we will not be commenting on any further details. We both appreciate your support and kindness at this time as we move forward with our lives. Thank you for your understanding.

I used to work at a place that did TooGoodToGo. Our manager would ask the kitchen to make sure they made extra food for it when there weren't enough order mistakes that day, which was usually every day. TooGoodToGo isn't food that would otherwise go in the garbage.
Phil Sturgeon@philsturgeon

@OnTheVeg58 @TooGoodToGo_UK Before I get any more vegan snark please look at what @TooGoodToGo_UK is. If I get a Magic Bag of things that were about to be thrown in the bin, I’m diverting from landfill and that’s a good thing.
