Spent a couple hours cleaning the chicken pen, spraying down everything to clean it, including their feeders and waterers. Changed the water nipples, etc. I then fill up about 20 gallons worth of waterers, they are absolutely pristine. Where do all the chickens decide to go get some water? The mud puddle I made washing their waterers.

A man brought his wife and newborn to our unit. The baby was crying uncontrollably, and the mother was in tears. From the signs, it was clear the baby was hungry. While taking her history, she said she hadn’t breastfed since the previous day. The baby had stopped feeding from the left breast, MIL said the milk was “sour.” The baby was only feeding from the right, but that also became difficult because of cracked nipple. So now, both breasts were engorged, painful, and the baby was left hungry. What did we do? Warm compress, pain relief (diclofenac suppository), expressed the milk, and fed the baby. Both mother and baby were fine shortly after. Let’s clear this up: breast milk does NOT go sour. If a baby refuses one breast, it’s usually due to positioning, latch issues, or adjusting to milk flow, not because the milk is bad. Please, don’t let myths starve your baby.💝

It could save your life. We've gotten several comments lately making fun of my "nose ring." It's a 3M in-nose filter. No, it's not as good as a real respirator, but it's a heck of a lot better than the nothing most guys wear. These in-nose plugs are easier and more comfrotable to use than a face plate, which means you're more likely to use them. Some sawdust is downright toxic, and you never want to get particles in your lungs. Real men protect themselves to protect their family, even if the peanut gallery leaves snarky comments.

Yesterday, a group of young men were driving casually in the Myrtle Beach area, heading to their destination with the windows down and talking among themselves, when an unhinged driver caught up to them and accused them of saying something to him. The young men were confused and caught off guard, and they became frightened when the driver displayed a weapon.

Made L-Reuteri yogurt. I understand the hype. Two tablespoons and my gut starts to gurgle, feels like it's digesting, and my mood goes up. 3 ingredients, let it sit a day and a half at 99*, takes 10 mins to have 3-4 days of yogurt. First batch will come out separated, but the batches after will start to come out with better texture. I'm still getting the process down. Not the best at white girl hobbies.

@VanceE Read Super Gut by William Davis. I make it 1/2 gallon at a time in the instant pot. First batch is always a bit of a loss. I sanitize the jars, first. Warm the milk to room temperature (on the stove) to mix the inulin or starch.

The Department of Homeland Security should take the list of every illegal alien arrested since January 2025 & run them through the publicly available voter rolls for all 50 states. I guarantee that there will be matches. Already finding them in Pennsylvania.

We are so blessed to have the neighbors and friends we do. A few weeks ago a windstorm brought down a tree across the entrance to our equipment/storage tent . As my husband was getting ready to go out and clean up the mess our neighbor showed up . My husband explained what he was doing. The neighbor left and came back with his tractor and a chainsaw. As they were working on removing the mess, another neighbor came over with his tractor. My husband has rheumatoid arthritis and it makes work like that difficult for him. What would have taken my husband all day to do, They had done in less than 2 hours. As I watch them from the house, I thanked God right then and there for the friends and the gifts in our life. What are you thankful for today?

Cattle are strong swimmers. This surprises people who have only ever seen them standing in fields. During the American cattle drives of the 1870s and 80s, entire herds of Longhorns crossed major rivers: the Red River, the Arkansas, the Cimarron. The drovers rode in first to draw the lead cattle behind them. Once the lead animals committed, the herd followed. A river crossing of 2,000 cattle could take a full day. Animals occasionally drowned. Drovers occasionally drowned. The cattle that made it kept walking. The Chincoteague ponies get a swim festival named after them every year. The cattle that swam the breadth of America to feed the expanding population of the west get nothing. There is a lesson here about marketing.

It’s absurd that there’s a category of companies, officially referred to by the Dept of Labor as, “H1b Dependent.” That designation should make a company illegal to operate in the US. For companies like Cognizant, they subcontract to US Big Biz, import H1b’s, gain institutional knowledge, siphon jobs offshore & repeat. It’s a flywheel of destruction for US tech workers.
