@KSH_SFA @ESFANthWestCups @seftonsfa @SchoolsFootball Again, well done. Playing football the right way, passing out from the back, encouraging players to play, and nothing but positivity all round. Winning is good. Winning the right way is even better.

@kennyboyneil @PeterSimmoYNWA Frimpong is nowhere near good enough. If he played for any other Premier League team you wouldn’t notice him. Poor player, and somehow ended up with us due to circumstances and panic for a Trent replacement.

@PeterSimmoYNWA Can't understand our summer transfer policy Peter. We don't play with a 9 or a 10 yet we bought Isak and Wirtz. We don't play with wing backs and bought Frimpong. I don't see any if them fitting in unless we change manager

We look disjointed Midfielders at right back, right backs at right wing, left wingers up front Nothing against Sweden but I didn’t want them at the World Cup. I wanted Isak with our people this summer We need new players but getting him fit & firing is every bit as important

@kennyboyneil @stephen_wa2447 He’s so far off the level it’s ridiculous. He’s trying, but so would I. When you watch the detail it’s like he’s two yards slower than required. Which is about a yard ahead of Macallister

I remember when I was a kid sitting in the kemlyn with my arl fella watching an empty smiths crisp packet blowing round the pitch in an early round league cup game. That crisp packet was better than Chiesa when he came on today

@SimonBrundish Speedie scored at Old Trafford and then got two against Everton in successive games. That’s good enough for me!

@AnthonyTeasdale Watched that a few times. The York player who scores is off the pitch a couple of seconds before he runs back on to get to the back post. Brilliant.

From the moment their old ground was splattered with his feeble dig about Liverpool supporters, they've got worse and worse. Fine. by. Us.

Been to baseball, Gridion and basketball in US. All utterly chaotic and mad with them trying to make it an event. That’s what the game was today. Genuinely hope for Everton and the city that Americanism did not succeed. ‘American, aren’t we? (New flag)

Had the pleasure of being at the all American 🇺🇸 Hill Dickinson stadium today. Flashbacks to terrible experiences watching US sports live with the nonsense around it. To hear announcer with American accent for club promoting itself as the city team was Spinal Tab territory.

Announcing “ the first goal in Merseyside derby at the Hill Dickinson stadium is an Everton goal!!!!! ) cue USA razzmatazz) that’s disallowed and a minute later “goal scorer for Liverpool, Mo Salah” like it was declaration of surrender of the nation, is never to be forgotten.

@alexefthimiou @TheS_Resource What about if doing well at cat 1 level but they go through a phase of not wanting to do it? Academy says they are high potential, towards top of group, does not want them to go but they walk away? How would you keep interest for potential to return to high level in future?

@TheS_Resource There’s a few factors - physically and socially going through a lot But I also think developing self awareness is a bit factor Realising “I’m never going to be a footballer” It’s the first time many kids have their dreams die, and it’s just hard to care as much after that

@tomsan106 What’s your opinion on the impact of having those neural connections for reasons you describe, but then the child stops wanting to play and train at a high level at age 12? Easy to reconnect after a break of 6 to 12 months or will some of the connection be lost ?

I’m responsible for what I post, not how others choose to interpret it. And no one was talking about predicting professional success. The point is that early starters are usually, though not always, more developed, which makes them more coachable. A head start often benefits those who take advantage of it, especially in football, where developing the neural connections between the brain and feet early on is crucial.
w2truong@w2truong

@tomsan106 That's false because development can plateau, and no way you are going to predict professional success just by this skill at this age...
