Say you are an extremely skilled person who is one of the only people in the world who can do what you do - so you earn a lot of money. (Let’s use a quant researcher for example…) 🇬🇧: capped at around £250k - after tax this is around £150k 🇺🇸 (Florida e.g.): could make around $1m - after tax this is around £700k Why would any highly skilled person work in the UK?!?

Your statement is true if goods & services output doesn’t rise dramatically due to AI/robots, but false if it does. In a normal economy, issuing more money simply increases the dollar price of the existing output of goods & services, meaning people do NOT get more stuff. If AI/robots massively increase goods & services output, then you actually MUST issue dollars to people or there will be massive disinflation. Prices are simply the ratio of goods & services output to number of dollars.

@elonmusk If robots produce abundance, we will not need high income. Non-scarcity makes things cheap.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

@SigmaSyndikate @fbjornz @dmesg @PlusEVAnalytics Monty Hall problem only produces better odds because you KNOW the host only reveals duds Possibility 1: you have it Possibility 2: you don't have it, host reveals dud Possibility 3: you don't have it, host reveals dud

@SigmaSyndikate @fbjornz @dmesg @PlusEVAnalytics It would not. The whole point of host knowledge is he ALWAYS reveals a dud, making switching have a 2/3 victory. If he only HAPPENS to reveal a dud, there is no benefit to switching. Possibility 1: you have it Possibility 2: host reveals it Possibility 3: you should switch

@chris_mcsweeny @Peperino_72 @dmesg @RedRockHangman @PlusEVAnalytics No, that's not ignored. It's exactly the point that we're in this unlikely situation, however unlikely it was to be random, that 98 boxes from the other pile happen to be eliminated, giving you an advantage. In OP, we're already in the 67% of cases where he reveals a rejection

@dmesg @PlusEVAnalytics So if there’s 100 doors and he randomly opens 98 revealing a goat every time it won’t matter whether I switch or not because it’s fifty-fifty?

@dmesg @PlusEVAnalytics This doesn't matter. Let's say there are 100 letters, the winner is more likely to be in the pile of 99 unpicked letters, yes? Then the interviewer, choosing without knowledge, happens to eliminate 98 in that pile (unlikely but this is where we are). Now which do you choose?

🚨 🚨 BRAKING 🚨 🚨 Eric Swalwell has just announced that he has been impeached (Latin for “terminated”) from the Senate. This is a shameful day for our nation when a Senator gets mistreated like this. Here is why he must stay in office 1. There is literally no non-hearsay evidence of the allegations 2. His HIPPA rights have been violated by news stories made without his consent 3. He has total diplomatic immunity We can only hope that President Trump vetoes this

@lporiginalg What the student wrote is the only correct answer to the question as written. The teacher's answer is also objectively wrong because the pieces are not equal. Diego's has far more edge, which some people like. Teachers answer also presumes drawings to scale.
