The uncomfortable truth is that the mass backlash against trans people isn't coming from HBS transsexuals or transsexual separatists like myself.
It's coming from the public being shown social behaviors that have absolutely nothing to do with medical transition.
Blurring the lines and insisting everything belongs under one umbrella may help transgender rights activists, but it doesn't help the actual sex dysphoric patients.
Regular, everyday people don't even know what it means to be 'trans' at this point.
And you can't demand recognition while refusing to clarify a definition and establish boundaries.
Transsexual activists want to reestablish a clear medical definition for transsexualism as it's the only way to protect access to care for the people who actually need it.
Those of us who are truly and severely sex dysphoric.
The worst part is that no one is allowed to say this out loud without fear of retaliation from the greater community.

The thing about transphobia is that it wears you down. Things like: "you sound like a man" "you look like a man" "you act like a man" ..aren't reality based, but constant criticism is a form of abuse to make you hate yourself and we get this 1000x per day from bots and losers.

I don't have an internal sense of gender, but live publicly as a trans woman. I find it easier to navigate social interactions. In a binary society I'd rather be read as woman than man, hence my transition. It's ''close enough". So this is my coming out as an agender trans woman.

@ContraPoints I got into kratom after getting my tonsils extracted. Got hooked on the pain pills plus cannabis. then went to online kratom powder that had its "morphine-like compound" amplified through selective breeding. It may be safer in its overdose yet it still has intense withdrawals.

Social transition has challenges. How are they handled - well, or poorly? Are they handled consistent with their natal sex or their cross-sex? If it is a positive process, then HRT is started. SAME process - there are challenges - how are they handled, well or poorly? Are they handled consistent with their natal sex or their cross sex? Over the year+ of the ongoing therapeutic process, the evaluations of situations and how they are being handled is watched. Their "trans"ness is not determined, suitability and applicability of ONE possible treatment is, IF the etiology is consistent with it.

Nice attempt to redefine words.
Trans = transgender. Someone that seeks to change their gender, sometimes through HRT or surgeries, but usually not. Gender variant. Gender non-conforming.
Transsexual. Someone that seeks to bring their sex into alignment with their gender.
If you haven't gotten the basics down, after four years of therapy, sue you therapist for malpractice.
The general process: you realize something is terribly wrong; you spend years trying to understand it; finally you find an explanation and a treatment; you seek out the medical community; the MC evaluates, tests, confirms what you've come to understand; social transition; therapy; hrt; therapy, surgery.
For the transsexual, their identity has never changed, never waivered.
For the transgender, their identity is affirmed, contrary to what they understood it to be in the past.
The distinctions are clear - as mud thanks to the transgender community using words they don't understand for concepts that are not appropriate.
