Since the Niagara foam is just regular GPU particles, you can color them by speed to get a simple 'bioluminescence' effect. This is a quick bonus lesson I added to Niagara Liquids.

@macadondee it doesn't calculate any liquid movement like the other FLIP liquid sims I've been posting (that can actually fill up a box etc.). This is just basic particles that combine when close to each other.

A little hidden feature of Niagara is the ability to mesh particles as blobs. With a bit of work you can fake a liquid sim, make blood or mud splatters and other liquid FX which would otherwise be hard to simulate. This is a bonus lessons inside Niagara Liquids.

Niagara lets you run pretty big water sims and easily affect them with various forces. In this example a repulsion force keeps the water away from our character, while a vortex force spins it around. We set this up inside Niagara Liquids. Summer enrollment closes in 22 hours. If you'd like to learn everything I've posted here step-by-step, now's your chance to jump in. Link is in replies.
