@Redevils20Times
Emotionally entwined with MUFC since 78’. They somehow injected themselves into my veins creating a bond for life which is both a curse and a blessing.

@HACKETTREF Then stick the law where the sun don’t shine. Inconclusive but even if the ball brushed his finger tip it doesn’t change the fact the ball is going in the net. Use some common sense FFS
English

The law states that you cannot score a goal with your hand even if considered accidental.

@_thugnificent_ @UnitedDNA99 Carrick is an interim so no sacking required if we hire someone else.. now whose brain dead👍🤭🤣🤣🤣
English

@Redevils20Times @UnitedDNA99 "we keep sacking managers" but you want Carrick gone too so another shiny toy comes in, see why you're called brain-dead?

@UnitedDNA99 Each to their own I guess but Amorim was similar to Fergie in tackling the culture and kicking out the bad apples. We were top 3 for shots, Xg etc but the performances didn’t translate into wins it should have done. I personally think with patience the results would have come.
English

@Redevils20Times Amorim was never the answer though. All the points I have previously said. Maybe Carrick isn’t the most qualified but he has shown his quality beating the best teams in the league in a short period of time.
English

@UnitedDNA99 I’ve seen every game this season and supported since 78’ home and away👍The standard of football under Carrick has been shit bar odd 10 mins in games and probably 3 games where we deserved the win. I say it as I see it and will know when we have the right manager and team.

Following on from the ‘escort’ post and with Coventry getting promoted, what’s your memory of which teams used to regularly sell out league games at OT in the 80s?
There weren’t many, this is how I remember it, I’ve included a few that only came once or twice & that I definitely remember.. probably a few obvious ones I’ve forgotten too.
You might remember is differently, time can play tricks..🤔
🔲Biggest:
Newcastle (‘84?)
✅Scoreboard overflowing:
Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa, city, Everton, Sunderland, Boro
☑️Decent but not always full:
Spurs, West Ham, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Forest, Derby
🚕Came in a Taxi:
Luton, Charlton, Wimbledon, Coventry, Palace, Southampton, Norwich, Ipswich
🏆Best:
Chelsea.
Overall I’d say they consistently had the best away support at OT in the 80s to, just my memory but they were always loud & well up for it

@__scottsaunders Here what catches people out. Look at the style of football, the passing and movement rather than focus on results. Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton all play great football and punch above their weight but don’t have the depth of squads that the bigger clubs have
English

I like Iraola. It absolutely makes sense to consider him. Hell, interview him. He's done a great job at Bournemouth.
We'll be right back to the coach demanding high intensity though (like Amorim did) with 15+ extra games next season. There's the whole question about if he can hack it at a club the size of United.
And I'll bet nobody remembers when Bournemouth went 11 games without a win in the Premier League literally a few months ago.
English

Who wants to tell him that for the last 100 years United's history is based on match fixing?
Bald Genius🇮🇪@OooaahCantona7
Id rather have 2 legitimate titles than 100 with an asterisk beside them... It means more when you do it the right way by the rules & within the spirit of the game, thats why City will never be close to United & they will never understand why 💪
English

@AndyMk_83 @redhod99 Yes but many over hype players just cos they have a decent few games. Seen it so often. He’s young and has great ability but plays safe sideways too often for me and he’s certainly not quick. I agree he has good potential so not knocking him but not hyping him either
English

@redhod99 @Redevils20Times No one is saying hes world class. His potential is huge and he has improved many of those weaknesses, particularly his defensive work. I dont agree with those saying hes slow. He dribbles with the ball at pace through midfield regularly. Not a common quality at all.
