My 0% tax setup I’m from the UK living in thailand. I have a UK and Hong Kong company. Both great for ecom. Offshore HK company is 0% tax. My UK company doesn’t make a profit. I am a personal tax resident in the UAE. UAE has 0% income tax. —— How to get 0% personal tax Method 1: Become a UAE tax resident by setting up a UAE company. You’ll need to be in the UAE physically for at least 90 days of the year (to be an official tax resident). Make sure you don’t stay in another country longer than their certain time to become liable for taxes there. Method 2: Live in a country that doesn’t tax foreign income like Thailand. Become a tax resident there. Most likely the banking system will be bad. So you’ll need to setup personal offshore bank accounts. You can do this with banks in Singapore, Switzerland etc. You may need deposit minimums and networth requirements. Method 3: Become a tax resident of a country that offers no income tax. Many people i know are setup in Portugal. I don’t have any experience with this. —— Right now I use method 1 but soon will switch to method 2. I think living somewhere just for the sake of saving taxes isn’t worth it. Your freedom of being where you want is more valuable to me than tax. We were in Colorado last week and I was struck by what is now an enormous disparity in wealth between the US and the UK. Spent a couple of nights in a cabin in an RV park - it had pools, slides, mini golf etc, fun for the kids. But the place was packed with RVs worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not only that, but it’s clearly a conservative form of vacation, so the average car on site was a pickup truck. These were almost universally less than a couple of years old, and worth at least $60-80k, if not more. I could drive you to the poshest place in Northern Ireland and though you’d see the occasional high end vehicle, the average car there would probably cost half as much as these. And then I was talking to someone and they said: “Yeah, this is the most typical middle class American summer getaway.” Middle class. Our economies used to be roughly on a par when it comes to GDP per capita. And now the American middle class lives at a level than puts the UK upper classes to shame. Sad times for us. Kudos to America for resisting the socialism that has ground our economy to a halt.

I recently got stopped & ticketed by the City of London Police for, & I kid you not, “cycling no handed”. Even though it’s clearly not an offence, the officer said they were ticketing me under the Human Rights Act as I was infringing other people’s Article 2 ‘Right to Life’, in case I fell off & injured them: utterly bonkers stuff. With bicycle theft basically legalised in the City due to the complete failure of the Police to bother investigating such thefts & people being regularly terrorised in London by e-bike phone muggers, it’s good to see the City of London Police concentrating the resources on what really matters.
