I am simply expressing what I as an American want my elected leaders to do. I don't care about any other issue as much. If a Republican would lead us in this direction I would vote Republican. If a Democrat I would vote Democrat. I'm not sure how expressing my values requires choosing sides? I recognize that what I value is not something that either party care about. But why does that matter.

What is the alternative? Without a middle class there is no hope for the future, should we just say fuck it and give up?

Recent price action feels artificial because the last few days have carved out a significant air pocket in SPX driven almost entirely by short-term options positioning. This is occurring in an unusually thin and relatively illiquid pre-holiday market, which makes it highly reflexive and prone to sharp volatility in both directions. The absence of meaningful index put sales since the Nov 20th low has left the gamma profile extremely negative, with little structural support until approximately 6300. That gap represents a 7% downside air pocket from current level. Negative gamma implies dealers are short gamma, forcing them to chase price moves in both directions, amplifying realized volatility. Bottoms rarely form without significant index put selling. Currently, the lack of put flow suggests this bounce is more likely a dead-cat bounce than a sustainable reversal. For a resumed uptrend to take hold, we should have seen more index put sales at the lows to stabilize dealer hedging flows. Current pricing has moved to the degree it is now too late to economically sell those puts at 6500 and below, and so those levels must be revisited for put selling to make sense. GEX data shows heavy positive gamma strikes clustered near current level of 6800, which aligns with a descending trendline from the October highs. This creates strong resistance overhead. While SPX could theoretically push toward 7000, doing so would require substantially more commitment from investors who have already produced an already rare 4% rally in 4 days. On top of that, SPX would have to overcome a large positive gamma wall, as dealers would increasingly dampen upside moves by selling into strength here. Therefore, this likely makes the current level a local top in my opinion. On the downside, GEX is far more fluid. There is minor buildup near 6500, but it’s a single punctuation, weak. Below that, there is no meaningful support until 6300. If downside volatility accelerates, the market could knife-edge quickly into that zone—a 7% drop from current levels. The head-and-shoulders pattern on SPY adds further downside risk for the layman. If validated, the measured move from the neckline targets 640–630 on SPY. These levels coincide with low-volume zones and more punctuated gamma strikes, creating a target for a potential trading gap that could act as a magnet for price on the downside. h/t @MenthorQpro and @spotgamma for their charts
