One of the problems I always had while being the "history guy" for the Age of Empires series was that everyone always made jokes about how terrible the French were at war. Whereas in fact, France was such a force to be feared that during the 1600s and 1700s all of Europe usually had to band together to stop her. It all goes back to France's shameful performance in World War 2 (which was pathetic). That humiliating loss has echoed through the years. But I had to explain it again and again and again to people. Then they would say something like, "Well Napoleon lost." Even the somewhat historically literate, who knew of Agincourt and Crecy, were surprised when I explained that France not only won the 100 years war, but they won it stunningly, laying waste to British Continental pretensions. I blame France's abysmal performance in the Franco-Prussian War, WW2, and Dien Bien Phu. Get your act together France. Be the France that terrified all of Europe and fought literally every other nation to a standstill in 1697.

Blight: Survival is an upcoming medieval zombies game with its entire premise being Knights taking on Zombies and it looks freaking sick I am kinda surprised nobody has done this idea in a major game before, it goes so hard. Hope it comes out soon!

Il choisit la troisième : se battre avec une mauvaise foi absolue et une énergie qui frise le problème psychiatrique. Ce n'est pas de la bravoure. La bravoure suppose qu'on a conscience du danger. Lui, il a juste l'air sincèrement énervé que vous soyez là. Et le plus fou, c'est que ça marche. Parce que sa peau est si épaisse et si élastique qu'une morsure de lionne ne lui fait pas ce qu'elle devrait faire. Parce qu'il résiste à des venins de cobras et de mambas (il lui arrive de s'effondrer quelques minutes, puis de se relever et de reprendre ce qu'il faisait). Parce qu'au bout d'un moment, même une lionne de 200 kilos finit par se dire que ce repas va lui coûter trop cher en énergie et en dignité. Le ratel ne gagne pas toujours. Mais il perd tellement mal que ses adversaires abandonnent avant lui. Il y a une leçon de vie là-dedans. Je ne suis pas sûr qu'elle soit recommandable. Mais elle est indéniablement efficace.
