When @LucasBotkin first reached out to me to talk about @AdaptivDefense I was unsure what to expect. Later, after some marketing and product development we kicked around the idea of starting a training division to focus explicitly on teaching authentic, tested principles and TTPs because we saw that as a just endeavor. Additionally, we test our products in that training environment as well as have many high level MIL / LEO iterating our products. What caught me off guard is that Lucas didn’t want the training division to be a profit arm of the company. After expenses, the money goes to our instructors alone. In our employ we have a 23 year Special Forces Chief Warrant who got his CIB in Bosnia before doing all of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as myself who had a blessed career and another gentleman who has a resume most wouldn’t believe possible. On top of that, our competition shooter for pistol is the second best in the world in his class. It’s an unbelievable combination and opportunity. We are training military and law enforcement all over the map. To say he has a disdain for veterans is actually retarded, and to say to a businessman who has world class shooting ability “oh but you haven’t been in a gunfight” is so utterly gay I’m actually throwing up from second-hand embarrassment
