This multi-year suspension of Judge Newman has acted as a de-facto stealth impeachment. Only Congress has the power to remove Judges from the bench. The Supreme Court should immediately restore Judge Newman's status and end this egregious suspension.

Thank you again to all the student artists who participated in WI-05's Congressional Art Competition! The Grand Prize-winning piece by Quinn Steck (Arrowhead Union High School North) will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. Quinn will be traveling to Washington, D.C., in June to attend the national Congressional Art Competition winners' reception and see her piece on display. The second-place piece by Madeleine Seeger (Arrowhead Union High School North) will hang in my D.C. office for the next year, and the third-place piece by Isabella Fabian (Arrowhead Union High School South) will be displayed in my district office.

Proud to lead my colleagues in a letter to FHFA Director @pulte calling for the preservation of the tri-merge framework. This will help ensure Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac can assess borrowers using the most complete credit data possible. A third assassination attempt was made against @POTUS last night at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. It’s past time for the media to tone down their rhetoric and for Democrats to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security. This serious incident further underscores the need for enhanced security measures, including completing the secure ballroom at the White House.

Today, @HUDgov and @FHFA are modernizing mortgage credit scoring for the first time in decades, allowing new, more predictive models like VantageScore 4.0 and FICO 10T. This is a commonsense step to help more creditworthy Americans, especially renters who pay on time, qualify for a mortgage. Proud to see the Credit Score Competition Act fully implemented and real competition delivered to the housing market.

Sports fans are paying hundreds of dollars a year across multiple platforms just to watch their favorite teams. This fragmentation harms consumers. Everybody wants the NFL to succeed. The question is whether these deals violate antitrust law.

It was great to visit the Chicago Federal Home Loan Bank to discuss their role in providing funds to our local banks and credit unions—providing critical resources to Wisconsin families and businesses.

When the @JudiciaryGOP opened its investigation into the Sports Broadcasting Act last year, we wanted to know whether the major sports leagues were distorting what broadcasting may be permissible under its antitrust exemption. I am glad the Trump DOJ is questioning this behavior as well. Thank you @USDOL for issuing the new 401(k) rule, expanding investment options for hardworking Americans saving for retirement. For decades, private investments have offered consistent returns and diversification for public pension funds. These advantages should also be available to everyday savers. The proposed rule would give millions of workers with 401(k)s more control over their financial future.

Sports fans should not have to subscribe to four or five different streaming services on top of cable just to watch their favorite teams. This segmentation is driving up costs and hurting fans, and it stems from the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961. It’s time to take another look.
