We’ve gone too far putting people who enter this country illegally ahead of Americans.
In yesterday’s @judiciarygop hearing, I raised serious concerns about the real impact of Plyler v. Doe - from the strain on our schools to the lack of transparency on crimes committed by those here illegally.
We should be looking out for our own citizens, especially our students and families, not rewarding illegal behavior with special treatment.

House Republicans passed the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act - standing up for our sportsmen and the traditions that built our conservation success.
Hunters and anglers contribute over $1 billion each year to conservation. Washington shouldn’t drive up costs with sweeping, unnecessary restrictions.
This bill keeps decisions grounded in science, not politics, and protects access to our federal lands.

Federal aid needs to go to those students who need it most, and every cent that is defrauded represents a lost opportunity for students in need and a serious offense to the American taxpayer. I am grateful my bill passed with bipartisan support and look forward to it passing the full House, Senate, and becoming law.

I’m proud to introduce the SAFE Pathways Act with @RepMarkPocan. It’s commonsense legislation to protect our fisheries, support native species, and stop invasive threats like Asian carp from reaching the Great Lakes.
We can protect our environment without wasteful, one-size-fits-all mandates, and make sure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.

For too long, Washington has tolerated waste, fraud, and abuse at the expense of taxpayers. That has to change.
With the @VP leading the charge, @POTUS's new Task Force to Eliminate Fraud is a strong step toward restoring accountability and ensuring taxpayer dollars are actually spent responsibly.
I look forward to working with the Administration to support.

I visited the Kettle Moraine Trailblazers Brat Fry and Raffle at the Greenbush Fire Department and enjoyed visiting with members of the community.
Thank you to the Trailblazers and volunteers who organized the event. Efforts like this help support local trail systems and keep our outdoor recreation opportunities strong in the area.

I enjoyed stopping by the Mayville FFA Alumni Country-Style Breakfast at Mayville High School. Thank you to the volunteers and organizers who make this annual event possible.
The proceeds help fund scholarships for local students, and it’s encouraging to see the community come together to support the next generation of leaders in agriculture.

Today in the @GOPoversight hearing, we exposed how billions in taxpayer dollars were stolen in Minnesota while Governor Walz and Attorney General Ellison failed to act. Federal prosecutors have charged dozens who misused funds meant for kids, housing, and health services, and whistleblowers say state officials ignored warnings and retaliated against those who spoke up.
The American people deserve answers and accountability. We’re demanding records, communications, and documents to get to the bottom of this fraud, and pushing for stronger safeguards to protect taxpayer dollars and prevent this from happening again.

It was great to meet with members of @LampreyControl, including U.S. and Canadian leaders, to discuss protecting one of our nation’s most important natural resources.
The Great Lakes are central to Wisconsin’s economy, environment, and way of life. I was honored to receive an award recognizing my work as a champion for protecting these waters.
I’ll continue working with our partners to ensure the Great Lakes remain strong and healthy for generations to come.

I appreciated meeting with leaders from @DucksUnlimited to discuss wetland conservation and waterfowl priorities important to Wisconsin sportsmen and local communities.
Healthy wetlands support wildlife, strengthen our outdoor heritage, and contribute to our state’s economy. I value the work being done to preserve these resources and look forward to continuing this conversation.
