I’ve spent the last week with a multi-material budget friendly flagship that everyone’s been eyeing. There’s a lot of talk about "pro-level" features, but I wanted to see how the hardware actually handles high-speed flow and filament swaps in a real-world enclosure. Is this the compact powerhouse we’ve been waiting for, or are there hidden trade-offs in the assembly?

Well... the lipo AirTag "upgrade" worked right up until it didn't. 💨Proving once again that 3.7v > 3v. 😂 And yes, I know fully charged to 4.2 puts it 25% over spec but I was in a FAFO kind of mood this morning. Ok @Apple slimline AirTag when? Its long past time now.

@devmobnow @Apple Depends on application. Ive seen some super clever tag hiding applications. But in general I agree. It doesn't have to be as thick as it is. Ive got some 3rd party slim ones but dont have the same precision finding feature as the official apple ones which I use all the time.

@repkord @Apple I bought 4 AirTags a month ago and was looking for somewhere else to use the last one. They are just so big it almost doesn’t make sense because they’re way too hard to hide. If they’re easy to find people will just throw them somewhere and the air tag is rendered useless.

Okay but this is officially the best hiring story ever. A company in Mexico rescued an orange stray cat and decided not only to keep him… but to hire him. They named him Engineer Miauricio and gave him the title of Emotional Support Director. His responsibilities include smiling at coworkers, gently meowing, and walking around the office making everyone’s day better.

@saradietschy I get that. Things always hit different when you hear yourself say it out loud. I very much enjoy discussing ideas but I definitely get that it's not how everyone processes stuff and can seem out of the blue to a lot of outside observers.
