Tech founders in SF don’t go hungry. Not only because they’ve funds but also because there’s so much free food available. 🤣 You’ll never go hungry in Silicon Valley if you’re on @LumaHQ, @partiful, @michelleefang list and @cerebral_valley list. Seriously. Some crazy startup x food scene observations in SF : - VC firms say they add value. They don’t announce but they host the fanciest dinners for founders they want to woo. 😉 - The founder mixers are amazing and are open to almost everyone. You get great conversations + amazing food. @NFX had a good one last year. @sequoia too. - All unicorn startup events have mindblowing food. @stripe Sessions had the best one so far in 2024, top notch catering. @canva and @databricks had a great one last time. I can literally rank unicorns by their food curation 😅 - You’ll find La Croix at almost all events. Only 1-2 flavors are good. Request to organizers : get some more stuff please! - Big tech firms like Microsoft have pretty good catering. Their dessert vendor seems to be the best in Bay. 🙌 - Lots of founder friends invite you to dinners once you’re in the circle. You also need to throw some events to be invited to more. - @brexHQ throws some of the best food parties on cruises, in bars and nice restaurants. @mercury as well. My friends who move to SF for short-term are surprised how generous the food scene is here. Just build stuff, meet great people and change the world - that’s the mantra. 🥗💪
