Pakistan’s constitution provides clear framework for balancing state power with citizen rights #Identity is not a document or plastic card, it’s the gateway to existence. Parliamentarians who voted this law violated Article 4, 9, 10A & 18 of the constitution they were supposed to protect. And the State violated international law obligations it is signatory of: such as ICCPR, UDHR, ICESCR and CRC.

What a shameful conduct of ruling party parliamentarians who voted for this law. They should be named and shame for such a surrender. I would love to see NICs of prime minister Shahbaz sharif and Nawaz Sharif blocked under this law.
