There is a longstanding policy on Question Time not to invite MPs on in their local constituencies unless it’s for a single-issue special programme. This is why Mike Tapp MP appeared on the panel in his constituency for the immigration special in Dover.

I mean, most people have the theory of mind that allows them to understand that people also do ordinary things in films and TV shows, even if you don't see it happening. Just like you don't see people having a shit in Harry Potter but the characters in their world clearly do.

One of the funniest things about Harry Potter worldbuilding is that there's no maths class at Hogwarts, so everyone in the wizarding world presumably has, at best, a Year 7's understanding of maths.

I think nitpicking Harry Potter is kinda cringe cope. It’s an obviously pretty good series but one thing was genuinely harmful when it came out id it’s romanticization of British boarding schools. A deeply evil institution. Iirc there was a markable optic in interest when the books came out.

“Not caring about politics is a luxury/reeks of privilege” kinda falls apart when you consider that literally every poll, survey, or study done on this topic concludes that wealthier, more educated people are significantly more likely to be politically engaged.
