Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has selected Chris Jayaram, a Johnson County District Court judge. Jayaram is viewed as the more "liberal" candidate out of the 3 finalists. Gov. Kelly: “Kansans deserve justices who approach every case without fear or favor. Last thing I’ll say about the DSA situation: seems to me like what others are calling mess is just how democracy works. Different folks disagreeing and litigating those disagreements in public is politics the right way.
