The Russians used knives to cut them and burned parts of their bodies; they provided water only once every two days, almost never fed them, and applied intense psychological pressure. One of the "imprisoned" children stated that he spent 90 days in these torture chambers. He was cut with a knife, his body was burned, and he was subjected to mock executions where they fired shots just above his head. Children were kidnapped directly from the streets.
