- Rebel News "infiltrated" or covered the Cuba solidarity protest I took part in last weekend - While their framing is clearly biased, sensational, misinformed and they make sweeping declarations about Cubans wanting Trump to invade their country based on a few blured out and graney interviews they supposidly captured on the streets of Havanna. Rebel News was the only media that produced in depth video coverage of this protest. It's incredible how much more sophisticated the right wing media is compared to the left. We dont have any left wing media doing reports like this about left wing protests let alone provoking reactions at right wing gatherings. Meanwhile Rebel News has enough resources to show up with 4 security, one camera person and one journalist and plus editing, web and social media help. Gary Engler spoke very well in this report along with some of the other speakers. I personally think that the approach of not speaking with them only gives them sensational clips that they can use to say we are unwilling to talk or express ourselves. youtube.com/watch?v=FtrtYA…

A reader responding to my column this week on the persistence of the residential-schools "genocide" lie, noted that Canadians have been "sheeple" on this file. She added, "We should re-name our country Ba-a-anada. That is the only way we will move up in the world, at least alphabetically." I never heard that one before, but so clever, no?

Yet in the very next sentence, it casually notes that the CIA did, in fact, overthrow him.
