And this is just one county. Imagine multiplying this by over a thousand. This is ridiculous that the courts won’t do their jobs.

Decent honest tax-paying protesters took part in yet another anti-ULEZ rally in Tooting today. But in this normally non-confrontary protest, It looks like police were used as Sadiq Khan’s enforcers. 200 officers didn’t just happen to be passing, they were aware of the protest and I am informed were organised at least 24 hours before anyone turned up. Then when people turned up, the protesters were told to move under section 42 of the 2001 Act. However, no one was identified as being intimidatory, threatening, harassed, alarmed or distressed. Some people didn’t immediately move, though they were given 10-minute warnings, so the police arrested 7. They also pushed a protester to the ground and pulled woman’s hair and another had a panic attack. The Police were disproportionate in their actions today. Sadiq Khan and Sir Mark Rowley must explain this heavy-handed action toward decent peaceful law abiding anti-ULEZ protesters when in stark contrast intimidatory Palestinian Hate Marches are allowed to proceed unchecked. In some cases, even encouraged. The Police have lost their way and have little respect from the public because of the growth in two-tier policing strategies.
