I wonder how many people around the world are watching a pigeon pace back and forth on the rooftop, waiting to see if there is a new Pope.

@Truewh1t @JoshuaPenduck @RichieRobEth There is a massive difference between a house in the parish and some of the monoliths that dioceses own. My garden is bigger than a five-sided football pitch, and with my children, it looks well-used and can be a nightmare to manage.

@JoshuaPenduck @RichieRobEth why? Young clergy can't afford the cost of a home these days and rectories ensure there will always be somewhere in-parish for the local church's Minister to live.

A retired priest said to me today that having clergy work six days a week, sometimes 50, 60 or 70 hours, then expecting them to maintain huge houses and gardens on their day off, is one of the surest ways of causing them to think that they’re aren’t working hard enough.

@Josie_Godfrey Open the doors and wait, air rifle, get a hawk (may need to catch a mouse to catch it first) loud music and lots of movement apart from where you want it to go. Or employ a gang of seagulls to deal with it but when your in with them your in.

@Revmattsays @premierinn Don't pay this Matthew. I had a massive run in with @PremierInn and it went right to their management. They assured me that any issues that had been there with their system had been resolved and people reimbursed. Others contacted me, it wasn't and isn't just one venue . . .

I love a @premierinn, but having a #parkmaven fine when I’ve registered my vehicle in the car park is less than ideal, especially as the parkmavens appeals system is awful. By looking at these tweets, it seems Premier Inn should change its system.
