@Malarkey_10 @Rajatsoni @kid_riles Never said we were untouchable, just, china selling their ~$800 billion out of the $40 trillion US debt won’t do anything. it may make the market slightly unhappy for an hour.
it would also be bought instantly. almost every country wants USD interest like that
English

@RevoMarine @Rajatsoni @kid_riles Less than 4% is still hundreds of billions.
Not saying they would sell, the point is people say US is untouchable, they aren't amd if things keep going the way they are they will alienate themselves from 80% of the world. Americans won't benefit from this, only those in power
English

@Malarkey_10 @Rajatsoni @kid_riles China owns <4% of the US debt. them cashing in wouldn’t do anything.
We’re also paying them some 2-8% interest, why would they sell?
English

@Rajatsoni @kid_riles You do kmow China and any other country that purchased US debt bonds could just dump it and the US economy wpuld crash in minutes, the dollar would also be worthless. The US tried to mess with Japan amd thats exactly what Japan were about to do and the US left them alone
English

@RvR_Doc @FreightAlley @grok Where are you paying 9.5%? Texas state sales tax is 6.25% and the local makes up 2% making the max 8.25%.
Louisiana also has the highest total sales tax as of right now, totaling 10.11% in some places.
English

@FreightAlley @grok Sorry it’s sales tax
The state rate is 7%, with additional local rates bringing the combined rate to around 9.5% on average (highest in the U.S.). This applies to most goods and some services.
English

First thing you discover when you move to Texas is that it is not a low tax state.
Ethan Flynn@ethanflynncpa
Why did Austin crash but Nashville didn’t? My guess is property tax.
English

@TeresaB04948918 @SaraForTexLege Texas has not had a singular blackout since february 2021. No brown out since the same time.
English

@SaraForTexLege You have consistent brown/black outs already. The cost of utilities will skyrocket.
Hitting the elderly the hardest.
They're already losing meals on wheels, snap benefits cut, Medicaid/Medicare cuts, skyrocketing insurance premiums and skyrocketing grocery costs.
English

The facility that just broke ground in Texas will consume 20% of the entire Texas grid.
We are barreling towards an energy catastrophe in Texas and Greg Abbott has welcomed it with open arms.

@rxmsxy @SaraForTexLege The same north east that couldn’t handle a simple Texas spring day this last summer?

@TxEagleLT @Hamiltonstears @cturnbull1968 @GregAbbott_TX @TexasGOP @texasdemocrats Quick! Who was president in 2020?
Also, where in the constitution does it say the census counts citizens?
English

@Hamiltonstears @cturnbull1968 @GregAbbott_TX @TexasGOP @texasdemocrats And what about the fact that the 2020 census was “accidentally” counted to erroneously favor Dems in 10 states and counted illegals on top of that.
The cheating took place with Bidens corrupt census. This is just Texas correcting the imbalance.

I’ve purchased every Call of Duty, and it’s dead to me now.
BF6 is life till noted otherwise 😤
CODMunity@CODMunityGG
Why is it impossible for a gamer to like two different games? On X, it always feels like you have to pick a side, but you don’t. I'd give everything to have both Battlefield and Call of Duty thriving in multiplayer and BR at the same time🎮

@wvukim @notcapnamerica it’s a good thing i didn’t say natural gas froze then, and instead said the pumps froze 😉 desmog.com/2021/02/26/tex…
You act like you know what you’re talking about yet you’re throwing around “amperage” and “btus” like a 2nd grader just learned a cuss word.
English

Well, you are not speaking only to a Trump supporter- but a life long energy supplier. Coal can’t freeze - it is the HEAT from the coal that creates the BTU’s. The higher the sulfur in the coal the hotter it burns and the more energy is produced. The Natural gas did not “freeze” the water in the lines froze because they were not properly installed. Again the same happened in Spain. I am so sorry you are unable to understand Amps and BTUs but it seems it is very much over your head.
English

What he’s not telling you is it’s because of solar integration, largely funded by Biden’s infrastructure bill.
Greg Abbott@GregAbbott_TX
Texas’ risk of power blackouts is the lowest that it has been in years. The power grid has more power and is more resilient than it has ever been. dallasnews.com/business/energ…
English

@wvukim @notcapnamerica Keep it reading you fucking loser 😂😂. Those went offline, with nearly half of Texas’ coal going offline due to the coal 😂😂
English

@RevoMarine @notcapnamerica Do you see in your article the plant was off line ? Unable to hold the AMPs as demand rose? How would coal have helped when you took 2 offline ? During a cold snap ? This is YOUR article 😂

English

@wvukim @notcapnamerica I live here and lived through it tf you mean check my facts 😂😂😂😂.
Even coal froze but i wouldn’t expect someone with a trump profile pic to understand the grid eenews.net/articles/how-c…
English

Again - check your facts - the lights went out in TX and Spain because there was no amperage. I don’t care if you closed natural gas - you have backed it with coal - it’s backed or your lights would be going out- like they do in CA on hot days. SAY IT LOUD FOR THOSE IN THE BACK - without the proper amperage to hold the load - power FAILS. It’s a simple formula.
English

@wvukim @notcapnamerica We’ve actually reduced the number of usable natural gas plants since installing solar and battery.
Also, natural gas plants failed to deliver power during Uri, far more than wind and solar. Almost like NG pumps freeze 🤷♂️
English

So sorry, but facts matter. It is because they have backed all green energy with traditional energy sources. The ice storm when TX froze and the lights went out is an example of what happens when the green energy isn’t backed with traditional amperage. It happened in Spain as well. Get a grip on reality and facts.
English

@OohYaBaba @JamesTate121 But who caused that? Was it biden or the previous administrations crazy printing?
English

@RevoMarine @JamesTate121 Maybe, but it doesn’t matter. Biden still had a high inflation level in terms of dollars.
English

@OohYaBaba @JamesTate121 It’s almost like the $8 trillion printed by the administration before biden had something to do with it 🤔
English

@JamesTate121 One thing for certain Biden didn’t make it lower. During Biden’s four years he had the highest inflation, in terms of dollars, of all time
English

@LindyGWells1 @JamesTate121 i’ve bought 4 watermelons this year in texas and none have been more than $5 so where’s the pic?
English

@JamesTate121 Watermelons in my rural Texas grocery store are selling for $20. Never seen that before in my life.
