@Malarkey_10 @Rajatsoni @kid_riles Never said we were untouchable, just, china selling their ~$800 billion out of the $40 trillion US debt won’t do anything. it may make the market slightly unhappy for an hour. it would also be bought instantly. almost every country wants USD interest like that

@RevoMarine @Rajatsoni @kid_riles Less than 4% is still hundreds of billions. Not saying they would sell, the point is people say US is untouchable, they aren't amd if things keep going the way they are they will alienate themselves from 80% of the world. Americans won't benefit from this, only those in power

Trump says invading Venezuela will net us $17 trillion. He says tariffs will generate $18 trillion. Add in $3 more trillion from DOGE savings. That is enough to wipe out our nation’s debt. Except it’s all a lie. A lie MAGA will eat up. And that, is why it’s a cult.

@Malarkey_10 @Rajatsoni @kid_riles China owns <4% of the US debt. them cashing in wouldn’t do anything. We’re also paying them some 2-8% interest, why would they sell?

@Rajatsoni @kid_riles You do kmow China and any other country that purchased US debt bonds could just dump it and the US economy wpuld crash in minutes, the dollar would also be worthless. The US tried to mess with Japan amd thats exactly what Japan were about to do and the US left them alone

@RvR_Doc @FreightAlley @grok Where are you paying 9.5%? Texas state sales tax is 6.25% and the local makes up 2% making the max 8.25%. Louisiana also has the highest total sales tax as of right now, totaling 10.11% in some places.

@FreightAlley @grok Sorry it’s sales tax The state rate is 7%, with additional local rates bringing the combined rate to around 9.5% on average (highest in the U.S.). This applies to most goods and some services.

@SaraForTexLege You have consistent brown/black outs already. The cost of utilities will skyrocket. Hitting the elderly the hardest. They're already losing meals on wheels, snap benefits cut, Medicaid/Medicare cuts, skyrocketing insurance premiums and skyrocketing grocery costs.

This is the new Republican drawn redistricting map. If you squint, you can see the tiny blue areas of Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio that were left for Democratic representation. Those tiny blue areas create 72% of the entire Texas economy.

@wvukim @notcapnamerica it’s a good thing i didn’t say natural gas froze then, and instead said the pumps froze 😉 desmog.com/2021/02/26/tex… You act like you know what you’re talking about yet you’re throwing around “amperage” and “btus” like a 2nd grader just learned a cuss word.

Well, you are not speaking only to a Trump supporter- but a life long energy supplier. Coal can’t freeze - it is the HEAT from the coal that creates the BTU’s. The higher the sulfur in the coal the hotter it burns and the more energy is produced. The Natural gas did not “freeze” the water in the lines froze because they were not properly installed. Again the same happened in Spain. I am so sorry you are unable to understand Amps and BTUs but it seems it is very much over your head.

@wvukim @notcapnamerica Keep it reading you fucking loser 😂😂. Those went offline, with nearly half of Texas’ coal going offline due to the coal 😂😂

@RevoMarine @notcapnamerica Do you see in your article the plant was off line ? Unable to hold the AMPs as demand rose? How would coal have helped when you took 2 offline ? During a cold snap ? This is YOUR article 😂

Again - check your facts - the lights went out in TX and Spain because there was no amperage. I don’t care if you closed natural gas - you have backed it with coal - it’s backed or your lights would be going out- like they do in CA on hot days. SAY IT LOUD FOR THOSE IN THE BACK - without the proper amperage to hold the load - power FAILS. It’s a simple formula.

@wvukim @notcapnamerica We’ve actually reduced the number of usable natural gas plants since installing solar and battery. Also, natural gas plants failed to deliver power during Uri, far more than wind and solar. Almost like NG pumps freeze 🤷‍♂️

So sorry, but facts matter. It is because they have backed all green energy with traditional energy sources. The ice storm when TX froze and the lights went out is an example of what happens when the green energy isn’t backed with traditional amperage. It happened in Spain as well. Get a grip on reality and facts.
