If the only thing you could ever play for the rest of your life was the full catalogue of a single video game developer, who would you pick?

@GauthierBret

@exQUIZitely Worth mentioning that 2 of them (Cadaver and The Chaos Engine) had the same artist Dan Malone.

Who is the GREATEST Commodore 64 musician? Time to settle this classic debate with a poll! 🎶🔊 The SID chip legends are all incredible, but here are the top contenders: Rob Hubbard – The undisputed pioneer. His epic, rock-inspired anthems defined C64 music: Monty on the Run, Sanxion, Commando. Complex melodies squeezed into tiny limits—pure genius. Martin Galway – Master of innovation. Sampled drums, lush layers, and cinematic vibes: Arkanoid, Parallax, Comic Bakery, Wizball, Ocean loaders. Instant nostalgia. Chris Hülsbeck - Sweeping symphonies: R-Type, The Great Giana Sisters, Katakis. Turrican pure mastery. Ben Daglish – Catchy, fun, technically brilliant. Iconic hooks for Gremlin & US Gold: The Last Ninja series, Avenger, Auf Wiedersehen Monty. Always sticks in your head! Vote in the poll below! Who's YOUR #1 SID hero? #Commodore64

@MastheadLight @playdate Thank you. I don’t give dates because I know how frustrating it is for people when they’re pushed. “As soon as possible” is the best I can tell.

@exquizitely One of my favorite from the Bitmap Brothers, after Speedball 2. Loosely based after William Gibson’s novel “The Difference Engine”

The Chaos Engine (Bitmap Brothers, 1993) is a great steampunk style action game, in typical Bitmap Brothers briliant fashion with excellent graphics and sound. You can play it in single-player mode (the computer will take on the role of the second player) or with a friend in two-player mode. Six characters are available to choose from, all with their own skillset and strength & weaknesses: Navvie, Thug, Brigand, Mercenary, Gentleman and Preacher/Scientist. Something I only found out later: For the North American release, the Preacher character was redesigned slightly and renamed as the Scientist because the game's North American publishers felt that a priest killing people was offensive. Not the most complex or innovative game (some even called it just a Gauntlet clone), yet highly playable and fun. Bitmap Brothers games always delivered!

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (LucasArts, 1992) was a brilliant point-and-click adventure. The story evolves around the sunken city of Atlantis and - of course! - Nazis, racing to unveil its secret powers. Set in 1939, the game features incredibly gorgeous graphics, the typical LucasArts humor, some tough puzzles, digitized speech, and a story that kept you hooked... adventure games of the early to mid 90s had that old charm that I miss in many of the modern games. One of the more unusual aspects of the game were the three paths a player could choose (and the game would unfold differently for ech of those), each with unique cutscenes, puzzles to solve and locations to visit: the Team Path, the Wits Path, and the Fists Path. According to eports, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was LucasArts most successful game ever, with over 1 million units sold and over 30% of female players.

@EricRetro 2026 is shaping to be a good year for the Playdate. I've been away a while, but thankfully awesome developers like you and @RewindStephan haven't! Can't wait to enjoy the results of your hard work.
