The Trump administration has deported hundreds of people, including children, long-time U.S. residents, and those without criminal records to countries they are not from and without due process—even after courts ruled that this is illegal. I’m pushing for an investigation.

🚨 America’s ERs Are Already Breaking And We’re About to Lose Thousands More Doctors if this is not addressed soon by medical community🚨 🔴 Average ER physicians see 15–30 patients a shift.
🔴That’s 180-300 patients a week.
🔴 That’s 7,000–10,000 patients a year. 🔴 We already have dangerously long ER wait times because of a severe physician shortage and it’s far worse in rural areas. So sidelining this one physician is already harming hundreds of vulnerable communities. The heartbreaking story of the two detained Venezuelan physician? They will not be the last. Stories like hers will keep repeating because of USCIS’s indefinite hold under policies PM-602-0192 and PM-602-0194 — applied indiscriminately by nationality to immigrants from 39 countries. Any physician born in those 39 countries is now at risk of falling out of status regardless of his underlying legal status or how long they lived in the US due to pause on processing of all regular paper work renewals, extensions, risking falling out of status, detention and eventually expulsion. We’re talking about thousands of long-serving physicians working in the hardest places: rural hospitals and underserved communities that desperately need them. This not addressed will crash healthcare in rural and underserved America. Not because these doctors did anything wrong but because of where they were born. Share this if you care about keeping ER doors open and doctors in the communities that need them most.
Tag your representatives. Demand USCIS fix this NOW. #ERDoctors #RuralHealthcareCrisis #PhysicianShortage #USCIS #HealthcareAccess #RuralAmerica @ProjectImg @AhmadRehanKhan @StoriesImg #MedTwitter Second Venezuelan Doctor Detained in South Texas by Immigration Agents nytimes.com/2026/04/11/us/… via @NYTimes

𝗔 𝗣𝗛𝗬𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗗. 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝟱-𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥-𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗. Dr. Rubeliz Bolívar, a PGY-1 Emergency Medicine resident in South Texas, a physician serving a medically underserved community, was reportedly detained while traveling within the United States, despite having valid work authorization. Let that sink in. A frontline doctor, caring for some of the most vulnerable patients in the country, pulled away from her hospital, separated from her duty, and placed in detention, along with her young daughter. This is not just an immigration issue. This is a public health crisis. Her colleagues describe her as brilliant, dedicated, and deeply committed to her patients. In a region already struggling with physician shortages, her absence is not just a loss, it is a direct hit to patient care. Hundreds of patients rely on her. An already strained system depends on physicians like her. And yet, she is behind bars. If reports are accurate, she presented valid documentation, including a work permit and ongoing legal immigration processes, and was still detained. This raises deeply troubling questions: 🔹 Are we now detaining legally authorized physicians serving underserved America? What message does this send to the entire healthcare workforce, especially IMGs who form the backbone of care in such regions? This cannot be normalized. We call upon: @AmerMedicalAssn @acgme American College of Emergency Physicians Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates …to urgently intervene , advocate for due process, and ensure the immediate release of a physician who is actively serving the American people. 🔹 Healthcare workers are not expendable. 🔹 Underserved communities are not collateral damage. 🔹 Children should never be caught in the crossfire. nytimes.com/2026/04/11/us/… #ReleaseDrBolivar #IMGs #PhysicianShortage #Match2027 #MedTwitter #USCISPause

@johndelavegalaw Why the complete silence on PM-602-0192/94? Since December 2025, USCIS placed an indefinite hold on decisions for legal immigrants from 39 countries living INSIDE the US. Even if you: • Filed your renewal 6 months early • Paid every single fee • Lived legally in the US for 10+ years and followed the law perfectly • Are married to a U.S. citizen, a physician with an approved EB-1/Einstein green card, or a scientist …it doesn’t matter. Your application is categorically paused — solely because of where you were born. Venezuela 🇻🇪 Cuba 🇨🇺 Nigeria 🇳🇬 Syria 🇸🇾 Yemen 🇾🇪 Sudan 🇸🇩 Senegal 🇸🇳 Myanmar 🇲🇲 + 31 others. 🔴Pending Application = Authorized Stay 🔴Authorized Stay ≠ Lawful Status ⚠️No Lawful status = Can be detained by ICE This is a loophole because how the law is written and unfortunately can be weaponized against you and the law allows it. Law-abiding immigrants now face real risk of detention and job loss — Not for breaking any rules but by USCIS’s own delay not processing their timely filled renewals or green cards. Swipe 👇 and share if this affects you or someone you know. #USCIS #LegalImmigration #PM6020192 #ImmigrationPause #DueProcess

The Trump Admin’s new rule to end automatic extensions on work permit renewals for workers with legal status is unfair for everyone who is filing on time and following the rules. They shouldn’t be punished because our government has a backlog and doesn’t have the staff to process their applications on time. In Las Vegas, I heard from immigration service providers about how this rule is harmful for immigrant families, their employers, and our economy. When I get back to Washington, I’m forcing a vote to overturn this unfair rule.

Hospitals across the country are closing and letting health care workers go because Washington Republicans cut hundreds of billions of dollars of critical funding they rely on.  Why did Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress do this? To pay for more tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.

Visas, citizenship ceremonies, asylum applications... it makes absolutely no sense why we're punishing law-abiding immigrants purely on their nationality. For Republicans and the Trump admin: Venezuela is good enough to extract oil and gold, but Venezuelans are not good enough to reside and transact in the United States. We need to restore these legal immigration processes for Venezuelans - and all nationalities impacted by Trump's "travel ban" - immediately!
