The reason this hurts so much is purely down to Southgate. Instilled a real belief again, and shaped the best England team for decades. Easily the most in-form England tournament team since Euro 96. These youngsters have real potential. #ENGFRA

M&S acquiring @thread seems a very strange fit, excuse the pun. One of the high street’s most antiquated stores, underperforming in an era of changing shopping habits, buying a forward-thinking AI-driven tech fashion company. Can’t imagine it will integrate successfully.

@chrisnothanson We still have people that insist on everyone having to give a ‘fun fact’ about themselves as an introduction. You can literally feel the anxiety in the room as it goes around.

Loved this documentary mini-series about the BBC. Both Dimbleby and the BBC at their finest – astute and self-aware, but not afraid to challenge authority, in this case itself. Sure it will be shown to journalism and media students for years to come. bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod…

Surprised by just how good, and edgy, #FridayNightLive was. Ben Elton has produced some dross in the last 25 years, but that was a passionate return to form. Huge range from old hands retreading ancient material to some bright new talent – especially Leo Reich and Sam Campbell.

It's cute that we still continue to make cinema, since the art form arguably peaked in 1996 when they released the US version of 'Rumble In The Bronx' and slapped Ash's 'Kung Fu' over the end credits.

So impressed with the @btsport app for football viewing, especially on Apple TV. The future we dreamed of – awesome picture quality, in-game highlights and beautiful, simple UI. You can even AirPlay another game PiP in the corner. Let’s hope Discovery don’t ruin it next season.

My first live #RHLSTP last night, and a brilliant one at that. Truly wonderful to see @RealBobMortimer chatting with @Herring1967. Haven’t laughed that much in ages, and enlightening to hear them discussing comedy itself in depth. Looking forward to re-listening on the podcast.
