The trolls were enjoyable this week. Led by @RealScottRitter, they falsely accused me and my company of ‘war profiteering,’ unsubstantiated, of course.
The truth is, Fischer Aerospace has received ZERO funds associated with the Ukr war. None. Zilch.
We have made a good amount of money helping nations craft defenses which set conditions to deter war…. As Sun Tzu said, ‘If you desire peace, prepare for war.’
So I guess you could correctly call us ‘peace profiteering.’ That sounds better.

The most marked thing about the neocons and liberal universalists is not necessarily how they have managed to grip the US foreign policy establishment tightly, it is that they manage to maintain that grip on power despite being intellectually outclassed by their foes and the fact their polices represent one disaster after another that have squandered the greatest relative position of global power in world history within just a generation. It is truly remarkable.

And unlike most piece in this genre pretty much everything they say is true - I hear the same from those I talk to: ppl are pissed off; situation on ground is deteriorating; pain of war is being felt; economy slow down is squeezing normal ppl.
And they talked to excellent ppl: Sobchak Venediktov Titov who are all connected but speak their mind
But collapse is not close. Chance of coup currently zero. Putin will fight on regardless. He has given up on trump. He’s waiting for ukraine to collapse.

Hence I hope guardian, for which I used to work & for me is the most balanced on Russia, the paper I actually read, will do the balance thing & do the same piece on ukraine. This war is currently in a horrible place of pointless destruction & death witg no obvious end in sight

I, too, have a tear in my eye now it looks as though a peace deal might be reached. For a while, it really looked like Trump was doing great work for ordinary Iranian folk by bombing them and slaughtering their schoolgirls. But now he apparently wants to discontinue the war, when there are so many more Iranians he could kill and maim to help them, and so many more ways he could strengthen Iran's strategic position yet further. It's also *so* un-Jesus-like to stop killing people. A sad, sad time for all those who care about peace and Iran.

The British broadcaster BBC has officially refused to send a correspondent to Starobolsk to record a report from the site of a Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on a college, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The American company CNN, in response to the invitation, said that everyone is on vacation now and there's no possibility.
